Police Blotter 04-08-19 to 04-14-19
04/09/2019 14:27- DISORDERLY CONDUCT
PENN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL
While assisting with the dismissal at Penn Wood High School, a large group of students began gathering in the front of the school and a fight appeared to be happening. Security and administration were observed running to the area. Upon the arrival of this officer, two female students were separated by school security and the vice principal but were still attempting to grab each other. These students were taken into custody. Citations will be issued.
04/09/2019 19:52- THEFT
NORTH LANSDOWNE AVE.
Police were dispatched to north Lansdowne Ave. for a retail theft that just occurred. The complainant stated that the male subject had left on foot. A juvenile male matching the description provided by the complainant was stopped and through subsequent investigation, the juvenile male was taken into custody.
04/10/2019 11:26- CRIMINAL MISCHIEF TO AUTO
WEST PLUMSTEAD AVE.
The complainant came to the Lansdowne Police to report that on the morning of 4/9/ 19, he discovered that three of his tires on his car had been slashed and the driver’s side was scratched possibly with a key. The complainant suspects it was his ex-girlfriend.
04/10/2019 20:11- THEFT FROM AUTO
Police responded to the listed location for the theft from vehicle report. The only thing taken was a black leather jacket which was recovered about 10 feet away from the vehicle by the victim. The vehicle was left unlocked.
04/10/2019 22:23- THEFT FROM AUTO
WEST ESSEX AVE.
Police responded to the intersection of Ardmore/Essex for the report of a found bag. The reporting party was walking his dog and observed the bag and its contents in the street. Officer was able to identify the victim. The victim said that the bag was in his vehicle. The vehicle was parked out front of his residence since approximately 1900 hours on 04/ 10/ 19. When checked, it was discovered his vehicle had been rummaged through but nothing else appeared missing. The vehicle was unlocked.
04/11/2019 06:30- THEFT FROM AUTO
Theft from vehicle occurred between 1800 hours on 04/10/19 and 0630 hours today’s date. The vehicle was parked on Wabash Avenue. The victim said that the center console had been rummaged through and that money was stolen. The victim is certain that his vehicle was locked
04/11/2019 21:09- WEAPONS OFFENSE
BALTIMORE AND UNION AVE.
An adult male was stopped for motor vehicle violations. Upon investigation, it was discovered he was in possession of a weapon with no permit and his passenger was found to be in possession of marijuana. Subjects taken into custody and charged.
04/11/2019 22:36- DISORDERLY CONDUCT
NORTH MAPLE AVE.
Police responded toN. Maple Avenue for threats in progress. The offender was placed in custody for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
04/11/2019 10:47- IDENTITY THEFT
The Lansdowne police received a report of identity theft. Upon our arrival, the victim stated that she was contacted this afternoon by Sears Credit services regarding a line of credit application they received from her. She informed the representative that she has never applied for a Sears credit card or a line of credit. The application was marked fraudulent and her information was flagged in case of future attempts.
04/12/2019 12:27- ASSAULT
PENN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL
Police were dispatched to the Penn Wood High School for a report of a fight. It was also reported that a school official was injured and needed an ambulance. On arrival, it was learned by speaking to witnesses and viewing video of the incident that the primary aggressor was in a fight in the school cafeteria. Subject was arrested and later transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
04/12/2019 12:10- THEFT FROM VEHICLE
SOUTH UNION AVE.
The victim called the Lansdowne Police to report a theft from her vehicle. She stated that some time overnight unknown actor(s) entered her vehicle and left the interior in disarray and credit cards were stolen.
04/13/2019 12:24- THEFT FROM VEHICLE (ATTEMPT)
WEST PLUMSTEAD AVE
Lansdowne Police were contacted about an attempted theft from her vehicle. She advised that her husband returned home from work at approx 0200 hours on 4 I 11 I 19. Shortly after he returned home he noticed his automatic outdoor light go on and witnessed a male juvenile inside of the vehicle. He then yelled at the juvenile and saw at least two male juveniles run from the scene.
04/14/2019 01:42- DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
WEST BALTIMORE AVE.
An officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for motor vehicle violations. Through further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol.
