Police activity week of 12-31-12 through 01-06-13

12-31-12 18:10 hours – Ptl. S. Nick – Liquor law-possession-juvenile
Unit block W. Marshall Rd. – On a traffic stop of vehicle going wrong way on one way street, did take into custody two juvenile offenders. During this officer inspection of vehicle observed a quantity of Bud Light beer cans on the back seat of the vehicle. All appeared to be unopened and there was neither odor of alcohol in the vehicle nor signs of impairment in the driver. Parents were notified of the incident. Both offenders will be charged with underage possession of alcohol.

01-01-13 14:40 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Vandalism
100 block Drexel Ave. – The victim states that sometime after 0100 hours this date, unknown actor/s cut the cord on his Christmas lights. The damage is estimated at $25.00.

01-02-13 14:26 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Theft- $200 & over
100 block Green Ave. (PWHS) – Responded to PWHS for a report of theft of a laptop computer in which the suspect/offender was reported to be in custody. After viewing the digital video surveillance the juvenile offender was arrested and later charged with conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful disposition, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct. His juvenile co-offender was later charged with conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful disposition and disorderly conduct. Value of the laptop estimated to be $1,000.00.

01-03-13 16:15 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Robbery-strong arm
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – United Check Cashing- Police responded to a robbery. On arrival the victim had been robbed of $150.00 cash while standing in line a he United Check Cashing Store. The actor was last seen running south on Lansdowne Avenue. This investigation will continue.

01-04-13 09:28 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Disorderly conduct
Unit block W. Marshall Rd. – Police were dispatched to the Eagle National Bank for a female enroute to withdraw money from her account, but possibly is being scammed. The bank did call the females daughter, who had power of attorney of her finance and advised her mother, is being scammed by an unknown male. She advised the bank not to allow her to withdraw the money. The female offender arrived at the bank, was told she could not withdraw the money that a check would be mailed to her. She became irate and demanded her money. After several attempts to have the offender leave the bank she was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

01-04-13 11:14 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- $200 & over
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Victim reports his orange gas operated Echo Hedge Trimmer valued around $300.00 taken from the property he was working on.

01-04-13 13:30 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Fraud
Unit block E. Stewart Ave.- The victim reports that she had been the victim of a scam that has to this point cost her a total of $11,960.00. The victim wired money for what she thought was for the sale of her timeshare. Investigation to continue.

01-06-13 10:17 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft- $50 to $200 – bicycles
100 block Gladstone Ave. – The victim reports his silver GT Tranesco 3.0 men’s mountain bike taken from his garage.
