Police activity week of 12-30-13 through 01-05-14
12-31-13 11:55 hours – Ptl. l. Albertoli – Burglary-forced entry-residence-unknown time
Unit block Berkley Ave. – The reporting party, the real estate agent for the property reported this burglary. The owners of the property are living in Florida. Taken from the residence was copper piping and the water meter. Investigation to continue.
01-01-1401:48 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Assaults- other
Unit block N. lansdowne Ave. – Arrests were made after a physical fight was observed by this officer at the Wawa. Two firearms were located belonging to one of the offenders. The offender did have a permit to carry a firearm. All will be charged appropriately.
01-01-1408:40 hours – ptl. D. Schiazza – Theft- $200 & over from auto
Unit block W. Essex Ave. – The victim reports her vehicle rifled through and her employer’s laptop computer had been stolen. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. The victim states she believe she did lock the vehicle.
01-01-1409:52 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Liquor law-underage-purchase, consumption, possession
Unit block W. Stewart Ave. – Police responded to a subject down. On arrival found the offender lying in the street covered in her own vomit. The offender was highly intoxicated and had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and person. The offender was examined by Medic 105 and taken to the hospital to be checked out. The offender will be charged appropriately.
01-01-1419:55 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Robbery- armed- firearm- residence
300 block Barker Ave. – Police responded to a call for a female victim reporting a robbery at gunpoint. The victim reports while she was at a friend’s home a black male banged on the front door, entered and advised her friend to “put your hands up or I will kill you.” The victim was upstairs in the residence at the time. The intruder came upstairs, held a gun to the victim’s head. The intruder took the victim’s purse containing her phone, Id and other items. The intruder fled the scene. The victim believes the friend may have set her up for the robbery. This investigation will continue.
01-03-1416:58 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Assault
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – Police were dispatched to a disturbance in the parking lot of the apartment complex. On location observed several people gathered around a red Ford Taurus. Four persons will be charged with either assault of disorderly conduct. This offense is domestic related.
01-03-1418:22 hours – Ptl. P. Young – All Others – contempt of court.
Unit block w. Greenwood Ave. – Police responded for a report of a domestic problem. On arrival the victim reports that she has an active PFA against the offender. The offender was taken into custody for violation of an active Protection from Abuse Order.
01-03-1423:12 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Public drunkenness.
S. Union Ave. – Dispatched for a report of a domestic. The reporting party states that a black female was intoxicated and kicked him. Did locate the female offender on S. Union Ave. Due to the offender’s degree of intoxication and the weather conditions, the offender was cited for public drunkenness and transported home by this officer.
01-05-1400:27 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – After responding to a call of loud music the offender was taken into custody. The offender, the tenant of the apartment, while being told there was a complaint of loud music became combative and would not listen to this officer. The offender will be cited for disorderly conduct. The offender was released from LPD to his family.
