Police activity week of 12/26/16 to 01/01/17

12/26/2016 19:15- 117 PTL CHRISTOPHER CRAIG Public Drunkenness
Unit Blk Nyack Ave

The Lansdowne Police responded to Nyack Avenue for a report of a domestic in progress, physical in nature. On location, officers, noticed a man attempting to ride away on a bicycle. The male was manifestly under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and had difficulty standing. The male was also in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Subject was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

12/26/2016 18:39- 115 PTL LAWRENCE ALBERTOLI Assault with firearm
200 Blk N. Wycombe Ave

Ambulance dispatched to Florence Avenue for a gunshot victim. On police arrival, we found victim on the front steps of a Florence Avenue home with a gunshot wound to his lower right leg. With assistance from witnesses, we located the crime scene on N Wycombe Avenue. We were also able to locate the suspected gunman who was taken into custody and returned to Lansdowne police dept., for follow-up investigation.

12/26/2016 13:06 – 194 PTL JONATHAN DOWNS Theft from vehicle
Lansdowne Court

The vehicle was left unlocked and the victim had left his wallet inside of the vehicle. The victim stated that he noticed that his black leather wallet containing his Pennsylvania Driver’s License, American Airlines credit card, and Wells Fargo credit card had been stolen out of the vehicle, estimated value of the wallet was $5.00.

12/28/2016 05:00- 117 PTL CHRISTOPHER CRAIG Sexual Assault
North Lansdowne Ave.

The Lansdowne Police received a call from Taylor Hospital regarding a sexual assault. The alleged incident took place December 26, 2016 between the hours of 04:00am and 12:00pm. The victim stated that it occurred in an apartment on N. Lansdowne Ave. Investigation to continue.

12/28/2016 21:51- 110 PTL MARK MCGINNIS Retail Theft
North Lansdowne Ave.

Dispatched to WaWa for a theft just occurred. Once out the manager reported that an older white female who was recognized as a regular customer entered the store with two juveniles. The group took some items and left without paying.

12/30/2016 00:48 – 194 PTL JONATHAN DOWNS Theft of vehicle
100 Blk. West Plumstead Ave.

The victim/vehicle owner reported that his vehicle had been stolen from out front of his residence.

12/30/2016 12:32- S30 SGT CHRISTOPHER SCHIAZZA Theft from Vehicle
200 Blk. Wabash Ave.

Victim stated that someone took a wallet and an Apple mini ipod from his vehicle along with his black leather wallet overnight.

12/31/2016 03:22- 194 PTL JONATHAN DOWNS Burglary Attempt
100 blk East Marshall Rd.

Police dispatched to 100 blk of E. Marshall Rd for an audible burglar alarm, point of activation was the patio door. Officers arrived on location and checked the exterior of the property which appeared secure. The screen door on the second floor patio door was ajar, but the interior door appeared secure. All points of access on the first floor were secure.

12/31/16 13:21- S30 SGT CHRISTOPHER SCHIAZZA Burglary
North Lansdowne Ave.

DELCOM dispatched the Lansdowne Police Department to a business on N. Lansdowne Ave., for a report of a broken bay window. The desk in the office section of the business appeared to be rifled through.
