Police activity week of 12-23-13 through 12-29-13
12-23-13 08:24 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft – $200 & over from auto
100 block W. Marshall Rd. – The victim reports his vehicle was entered and his Sig Sauer 9mm hand gun was taken from the vehicle. There was no forced entry into the vehicle. Other items reported missing from the vehicle were recovered.
12-23-1308:51 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- attempted from auto
Unit block E. Essex Ave. – The reporting party stated his work vehicle was entered overnight. Nothing appears to be missing from the vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle.
12-23-13 09:35 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft – $200 & over from auto
200 block W. Essex Ave. – The victim reports that sometime overnight unknown actor/s entered her vehicle and stole several items. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of theft.
12-23-13 11:30 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- attempted – from auto
200 block W. Essex Ave. – The victim reports that sometime overnight unknown actor/s did enter her vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing appeared to have been taken.
12-23-13 17:50 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- $200 & over – all other
100 block S. Lansdowne Ave. -The victim reports the theft of a package. After contacting the delivery service, the victim was advised that the package was delivered on Friday and left at her apartment door. The package did contain over $200.00 worth of Christmas gifts.
12-24-13 11:46 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft – $50 to $200 from auto
100 block W. Marshall Rd. – The victim reports that someone entered her vehicle and stole several items. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of the home. She stated that the vehicle was unlocked at the time. Taken in the theft was a Canon Digital camera and a Fuji Digital camera.
12-24-13 15:17 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Theft- $200 & over from buildings
200 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports that a small black tin box containing several gold coins along with approximately thirty or forty Susan B. Anthony dollar gold coins and two thousand dollars in cash was missing from this home. The victim suspects the person who was helping him with computer paper work to have taken the box. Did make contact with the suspect, who admitted to taking the box. She stated there were only coins were in the box, not cash. The box, with the coins inside were returned to the victim. The offender will be charged appropriately.
12-28-13 10:00 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Burglary-forced entry-residence- unknown time
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – The victim reports copper piping from the residence hot water heater and furnace missing. The victim recently purchased the residence. Forced entry was made through a wooden basement storm door.
12-28-13 14:56 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Theft- $50 to $200 from building
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports his Apple Iphone 4S taken while he was in the library. The victim did have the phone plugged into the wall outlet on the southeast corner of the library and placed the phone on the window sill. He did walk to the other side of the library and when he returned, the phone was missing. The victim was advised to contact his cellular provider to cancel service to the phone.
