Police activity week of 12-03-12 through 12-09-12

12-03-12 12:40 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- $50 to $200
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim came to police headquarters to report that an unknown subject stole her Direct Express debit card issued to her by Social Security Disability and withdrew $820.00 from her account without her authorization.

12-04-12 10:32 hours – Ptl. S. Nick -Theft- $200 & over from buildings
Unit block Nyack Ave. – Responded to a reported domestic between roommates. One roommate claims the other is stealing from him. The victim stated that twice items have been missing; he never reported this to police. The victim is in the process of moving and wants a police report filed “so his renters insurance will pay him back”. The accused roommate denies taking anything of the victim’s.

12-04-12 20:34 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Criminal mischief to auto
100 block W. Plumstead Ave. – The victim states that someone broke both the driver side and passenger side mirrors on his vehicle. He also stated they kicked the driver side door causing a small dent.

12-05-12 10:03 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct
Unit block S. Maple Ave. – Received a 911 call for a domestic argument between the reporting party and the offender. The offender had entered the home with out permission and started arguing with the residence. Due to the numerous domestics that police have responded to at this address, the offender will be cited for his actions.

12-07-12 18:40 hours – Ptl. S. Nick – theft- under $50 from buildings
Unit block Willowbrook Ave. -The victim reports that someone removed his Christmas wreath from his front door, worth about $35.00. Dispatched to Unit block of Ardmore Avenue to see the man for recovered stolen property. Met the victim who reported driving down Ardmore Avenue and he noticed a wreath that looked very much like his missing wreath. The wreath was on the door of a residence on Ardmore Avenue. He recognized the wreath as his missing property. Spoke to the residence/suspect at the Ardmore Avenue residence who stated he found it on Baltimore Avenue between Willowbrook and Ardmore. The wreath was returned to the owner. Information on this incident was forwarded to the Detective Division.

12-08-12 22:16 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Criminal mischief to auto
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – The reporting party stated that the front driver’s side window to his wife’s vehicle was smashed out. The vehicle was parked near the loading dock at his work. Nothing appeared missing from the vehicle.

12-09-12 12:34 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- $200 & over
Unit block E. Windermere Ave. – The victim reported that sometime overnight someone had taken a pile of red bricks from the corner of the residence. There was a note on the pile of bricks which read “DO NOT TAKE”. Total value of loss is estimated to be $1,225.00.
