Police Blotter 12-10-18 to 12-16-18

12/10/2018 03:23 – BURGLARY SOUTH LANSDOWNE AVE.
Police responded to a neighbor dispute. On arrival, it was learned that the suspect had presented himself, unwanted, at the neighbor’s apartment while nude from the waist down. The victim’s door was unlocked at the time.


12/10/2018 17:49 – FLIM FLAM MIDWAY AVE.
The victim listed came to headquarters to report that he was the victim of a scam. The victim indicated that while on the TARGET web site an advertisement to be a secret shopper popped up. The job was to deposit a check for 5950 in his account then buy $700 in iTunes cards then return to the company, the difference was his pay. The check appeared legit and initially cleared so the victim purchased the cards and provided them to the company. The check was later determined to be a forged document and now the victim is out 5700.


12/08/2018 14:44 – FRAUD FAIRVIEW AVE.
DELCOM dispatched Lansdowne Police to return to headquarters to see a complainant. Upon arrival, officer met with the victim who reports that on 12/4/18, a subject unknown to him opened up two Venmo accounts using his personal information. Using this information, from one Venmo account, the subject made 15 fraudulent attempts to access money from the complainant’s checking account.


12/12/2018 12:02 – MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT NORTH UNION AVE.
Police were dispatched to N Union Ave for a motor vehicle theft that just occurred. A short time after dispatch, the vehicle was recovere d by Upper Darby Police at Congress Ave and E Plumstead Ave. Two juveniles were taken into custody from Penn Wood High School for their involvement in the incident.


12/12/2018 23:00 – BURGLARY NORTH LANSDOWNE AVE.
Subject was arrested for burglary.


12/13/2018 14:53 – THEFT FROM VEHICLE VIOLET LANE
Police were dispatched to Violet lane for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle discovered. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who reported two vehicles broken into overnight.


12/14/2018 06:38 – THEFT NORTH LANSDOWNE AVE.
Police responded to a theft, just occurred. On arrival, store manager reported that two rolling trash bins were stolen from the rear of the store.


12/14/2018 13:51 – CRIMINAL MISCHIEF WOODLAND AVE.
Police responded to Woodland Avenue for a report of vandalism to a vehicle discovered. On location, the vehicle owner stated that he observed that his black Chevrolet had been sprayed painted with obscene pictures and words.


12/14/2018 17:57 – BURGLARY ATTEMPT LANSDOWNE COURT
Police responded to Lansdowne Court for a report of an audible burglar alarm coming from the front door activation. At the front door of the residence, officers observed that the front bottom left glass pane of the door jamb had been smashed out and after further investigation that a rock was on the floor in the foyer of the home.


12/14/2018 21:52 – DISORDERLY CONDUCT PENN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL
While at the Penn Wood High School for the basketball game dismissal, officers were advised by Penn Wood High School Security Officials, that they were having problems getting the people who attended the game to leave the gym atrium area. Several subjects refused to leave and created further disturbances. They were cited for disorderly conduct.


12/15/2018 19:17 – ASSAULT WEST BALTIMORE AVE
Police were dispatched for the domestic assault just occurred. Numerous injuries were visible on victim. Warrant issued for male offender.
