Police activity week of 11-25-13 through 12-01-13
11-25-13 06:14 hours – 5gt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
100 block N. Highland Ave. – The victim called police after discovering that an unknown actor smashed out the passenger side window of her vehicle. Missing was about $80.00 worth of change.
11-25-13 13:10 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Burglary-attempt-residence-unknown time.
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. -The property manager for the complex reports that while maintenance was cleaning up the exterior of the property, they noticed that an apartment window had been broken and the screen appeared to have been cut. The owner of the apartment is in the hospital. Will make contact with the owner when he is available. Does not look like entry was made to the apartment.
11-25-13 18:00 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Criminal mischief to automobiles
100 block W. Marshall Rd. – The victim reports multiple scratch marks on the hood of her vehicle. The victim wanted a report for the record.
11-26-13 23:45 hours – Ptl. C. 5chiazza – Narcotics-possession
200 block N. Wycombe Ave. – Police dispatched for a report of an overdose of heroin. The offender was found unconscious. The offender was treated on the scene by Paramedics and then transported to the hospital. A syringe and two small clear glassine bags marked “NITRO” filled with a white powdery substance were located in the offender’s purse. Appropriate charges will be filed.
11-28-13 16:45 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Burglary-forced entry – residence- unknown time
200 block Owen Ave. – The victim reports her residence burglarized. The residence is currently unoccupied and it is being renovated. The basement door had been kicked in and the locks were damaged. The victim stated that approximately 30 feet of copper piping was stolen from the basement.
11-29-13 22:18 hours – Ptl. T. 5elimis – Robbery- attempt-strong arm- highway
200 block Crawford Ave. – While making a delivery of food the victim was approached by a black male and told to empty his pockets. The victim stated he had just made a drop and only had a few dollars. The victim pushed the offender, who he believes fell down, then the victim jumped back in his vehicle and drove away.
11-30-13 11:05 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- $200 & over from auto
100 block Marlyn Ave. – Police were dispatched for a theft from vehicle discovered. The victim showed this officer the vehicle’s right front window which had been broken. The vehicle was locked and her purse was on the front right seat. The victim’s purse and all of its contents were missing. On 11-30-13 police responded for found property. The contact found the victim’s purse in his driveway. All contents of the purse were found with the exception of a Tiffany bracelet, a Home Depot credit card and $80.00 in cash.
12-01-13 12:45 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Criminal mischief
Unit block Sayers Ave. – The victim reports her basement broken into by her tenant. The locks had been changed on the basement door. The tenant was scheduled to move out on 12/01/13. The tenant did admit to taking the door off the hinges but claims to know nothing about the locks being damaged.
12-01-13 16:17 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Disorderly conduct
100 block W. Plumstead Ave. – Responded on report of two women fighting near a gray sedan. On arrival located the offender. The offender had broken the windows of the victim residence and ripped off the gutter on the side of the house. The offender was taken into custody and charged appropriately.
