Police activity week of 11-18-13 through 11-24-13

11-21-13 09:20 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Criminal mischief to automobiles
Unit block W. Marshall Rd. & Ardmore Ave. -the victim reports that sometime over night the passenger side front window of her vehicle was broken. Nothing was missing from the vehicle.


11-21-13 21:41 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – All other vandalism
Unit block N. Rigby Ave. – The victim reports that a window at his house was just broken. The victim and his daughter were in the apartment when they heard the glass break. No one in area.


11-23-13 19:42 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Burglary-attempt – residence- night
Unit block Fairview Ave. – The complainant was reporting his neighbors rear door open and he heard a loud bang from inside the neighbors residence. Did check the residence and all appeared to be in order. Police were unable to contact the home owner. Police did leave note for home owner to contact police as soon as possible. Since rear door was damaged, Mellon Certified Restoration was contact to secure
the door.


11-24-13 15:03 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- attempted – retail theft
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – The store manager believed a black male had stolen a portable DVD player. The male, after being confronted by employees, fled the store. It seems the spider alarm device was ripped off the DVD box, the item was not taken.
