Police activity week of 11-12-12 through 11-18-12
11-12-12 13:36 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Assaults
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Offender taken into custody after a physical domestic with girlfriend.
Victim refused treatment when the EMS arrived on the scene. The victim was advised of how to obtain a Protection from Abuse Order.
11-15-12 09:20 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Narcotics-possession-marijuana
100 block Green Ave. (PWHS) – Police called to PWHS for a student with drugs on her person. Offender had 18 small green glassine baggies possibly containing marijuana. Offender was transported to LPD processed and a juvenile petition will be completed. The offender was released to her mother.
11-15-12 21:32 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Twp ord- all other
Unit block W. Stratford Ave. – Responded to the listed location for the barking dog complaint. Upon arrival could hear a small dog barking from the rear of the property. Observed a small dog chained up inside the garage. Made contact with the owner who stated he was at work and could not come home and did not see the issued with his dog barking all night while being chained up to the wall in an unheated garage. The complainant stated the dog has been left inside the garage since Tuesday night. The offender was cited accordingly.
11-16-12 17:05 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft=$50 to #200 from buildings
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Complainant reported her daughter’s Hewlett Packard laptop computer was missing from her Cyber School on E. Baltimore AVE. The computer was received from the Cyber School. The complainant will call and provide me with the serial number of the computer.
11-17-12 09:50 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Twp ord- all other
Unit block W. Stratford Ave. – Police received a complaint of a barking dog. Upon arrival I did hear a dog barking and attempted to make contact with the owner with negative results. The reporting party reported that he has called several times and the dog continues to bark thought out the day and night hours. The offender has been cited previously for this offense and will again be cited today.
11-17-12 07:48 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- $50 to $200 all other
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim stated that approximately twenty minutes ago she was at the Wawa and forgot her orange wallet on the deli counter. She left and headed home when she discovered she forgot her wallet. The General Manager of the Wawa observed the wallet sitting on the deli counter; he observed an unknown female near the wallet and asked her it she had forgotten her wallet. She grabbed the wallet and left the store. Approximately five minutes later she came back into the store stating the wallet did not belong to her and handed it to the General Manager. The victim returned to Wawa and did receive her wallet back and she discovered that $60 was stolen. Police will review the video tape from the store. Investigation to continue.
