Police activity week of 11-11-13 through 11-17-13
11-11-13 04:10 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft-attempted-from auto
200 block w. Plumstead Ave. – The victim reports her vehicle ransacked. The vehicle was unlocked and nothing was noted missing.
11-11-13 14:26 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft- $200 & over from auto
100 block W. Plumstead Ave. – the victim reports that her vehicle had been rifled through and her Alexander McQueen sunglasses were taken. The vehicle might have been unlocked.
11-12-13 21:48 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Assaults
200 block W. Essex Ave. – Responded for a report of the ambulance responding to treat a domestic assault victim. Upon arrival the victim reported that the offender assaulted her. There were visible signs of injury on the victim’s face. The offender was placed under arrested and taken into custody. The victim, after talking to her pastor, no longer wanted to press charges against the offender. The victim refused to provide a written statement to police. The offender was charged with simple assault based on the victim’s visible injuries and her verbal statement to police. This is pursuant to PACC 2711 Probable Cause Arrests in Domestic Violence Cases.
11-12-13 19:01 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Vandalism
100 block E. Plumstead Ave. – The victim’s son reported damage to his father’s vehicle. He stated damage was caused to the driver’s side door, probably while trying to make entry to the vehicle.
11-13-1202:09 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Theft- under $SO – retail theft
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – One taken into custody for retail theft of cigarettes. The stolen merchandise was found on the offender. The store will supply with the video of the theft. The offender was taken into custody.
11-15-13 16:29 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Public drunkenness
Highland & E. LaCrosse Aves. – Police were dispatched for an Intoxicated subject down. On arrival located the offender lying in the roadway. The offender was taken into custody and cited for disorderly conduct & drunkenness.
11-15-13 23:06 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Harassment
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – Police dispatched to a domestic disturbance. This is the third call for a domestic at this address in less than three hours. The male offender was transported to LPD. Both male and female offenders were cited.
11-16-13 23:51 hours – ptl. C. Craig – Drive under influence
W. Baltimore & Willowbrook Aves. – Police were dispatched for a report of a motor vehicle accident. On location, found a two car motor vehicle accident with no injuries. The operator of Unit #1 was taken into custody for DUI.
11-17-13 09:02 hours – ptl. C. Schiazza – Criminal mischief
Unit block Bryn Mawr Ave. – The victim reports damage to her wooden fence. Pickets on the fence appear to have been pulled off and the wooden supports were broken
