Police activity week of 11-05-12 through 11-11-12

11-07-12 00:37 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Burglary-attempt-residence-night
100 block Ardmore Ave. – The victim reported he went to bed around 23:30 hours in the rear bed room of his one story house. Just prior to calling the police at 00:37 hours he was awoken by a noise coming from the middle bedroom. The victim got up and found the screen and window in the center bedroom wide open so he called police. No entry was gained.


11-09-12 15:33 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Disorderly conduct, public drunkenness
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – Police received a call for fire alarm activation at the apartment complex. Writer entered the top floor of building and observed moderate smoke conditions coming from apartment L. The offender was located in the apartment; the offender had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from her breath. The offender had to forcibly be removed from the apartment after refusing to leave. The fire was located by the fire department in the apartment. Cause of fire was unattended cooking on the stove. The offender was placed in custody and cited.


11-09-12 16:42 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Narcotics-possession, warrants
800 block Summit St, Darby – SEPTA police made a pedestrian stop of the offender in 69th Street Terminal. This department has a warrant for the offender. The offender was taken into custody and suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia was located on his person. Additional charges will be filed.


11-10-12 00:55 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – All other offenses
E. Essex & Mansfield Aves. – This officer stopped a silver Hyundai Sedan on a traffic stop. The driver/offender could not produce her license and the vehicle’s registration and insurance. After a check of the offender driver’s license it showed she currently has a limited license and only permitted to operate vehicles equipped with ignition interlock. The vehicle was returned to the owner, the offender father. The offender will be cited for this offense.


11-10-12 15:15 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Boro ord soliciting
Powelton Ave. & Hansell Rd. – Received report of a suspicious male reportedly saying he was from an energy company. Located the offender he did not have a permit to solicit in the borough. The offender will be cited for soliciting without a permit.


11-11-12 02:37 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Burglary-forced entry-residence-night
100 block Owen Ave. – As a result of a vehicle stop offender was taken into custody for a burglary. Victim of the burglary was unaware his home had been burglarized. Missing from the home were jewelry and other items. Some of these items were located in the trunk of the offenders car. The victim will come to LPD to identify her property.


11-11-12 07:13 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Robbery-armed-knife- residence
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Victim reports being assaulted by her boyfriend. The victim states following the assault the boyfriend stole her cell phone and two house phones. Also taken was the victim’s 1996 Chevrolet Camaro. An arrest warrant will be issued for the offender.
