Police activity week of 11-04-13 through 11-10-13
11-04-13 08:01 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Criminal mischief to automobiles
100 block W. Albemarle Ave. – the victim’s wife notified police of damage discovered on her husband’s vehicle. The passenger side window had been smashed out with an unknown object. Nothing appears to be missing from the vehicle.
11-05-13 08:15 hours – ptl. C. Brown – Theft- under $50- from buildings
Unit block W. Greenwood Ave. – The victim reports the theft of her prescribed medication. She discovered that an unknown actor opened the smail brown box and removed her CRESTOR medication; a second asthma medication was not removed. The box was located on the front steps of her home.
11-05-1320:04 hours – ptl. P. Young – Assaults – simple
Nyack & Wycombe Aves. – Physical altercation after a traffic accident. The offender did strike and slap the victim. Two witnesses did confirm that the offender was the aggressor. The offender was taken into custody and wiil be charged appropriately.
11-06-13 15:37 hours – ptl. D. Schiazza – Criminal mischief to automobiles
100 block Berkley Ave. -The victim reports the left rear operator side window of his vehicle had been broken. No projectile could be located.
11-06-1323:02 hours – ptl. J. McGowan – Driving under the influence
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – The offender was taken into custody after he failed three field sobriety tests and a preliminary breath test. The offender displayed glassy bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The offender was processed and house at Darby PD until his arraignment.
11-07-13 19:12 hours – ptf. C. Schiazza – Theft $50 to $200 from buildings
Unit block Willowbrook Ave. – Responded for a report of a theft of copper down spout. The victim reports the copper rain/down spout was missing from the rear of his home.
11-08-1300:05 hours – Ptf. C. Schiazza – Criminal mischief to automobiles
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – The victim reports her 2001 black Dodge Caravan was parked in front of the building when someone broke the right front passenger window of the vehicle. There did not appear to be anything missing from the vehicle.
11-08-13 12:23 hours – ptl. L. Albertoli – Criminal mischief to automobiles
100 block Windermere Ave. -The victim reports her rear windshield was shattered. The vehicle was still locked and there was no sign that entry was gained or that anything was missing. There was a smail hole just to the right of the wiper base that appeared to be where some sort of projectile hit the window, It should be noted that a number of similar incidents have occurred around the borough over the past week or more where car windows were broken, but nothing was taken.
11-09-1309:15 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
200 block W. Essex Ave, – the victim reports his vehicle ransacked and his Mageilan GPS was taken from the dashboard, There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. The victim believes he may have forgotten to lock the doors.
11-10-1303:03 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Public Drunkenness
E. Stewart & N. Union Aves. – Made a pedestrian stop. The offender was unsteady on his feet, had slurped speech and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The offender was taken into custody ,cited for public drunkenness and then transported home.
11-10-1308:50 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
100 block Eldon Ave. – The victim reports an unknown subject entered his unlocked vehicle and stole some loose change and a Garmin GPS.
