Police activity week of 10-22-12 through 10-28-12
10-22-12 13:51 – St. J. McCaughan – Unauthorized use of MV
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – The victim stated that a male, who she allowed to stay in her apartment, has taken her vehicle without her permission.
10-22-12 21:47 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Drive under the influence
W. Marshall Rd & Windermere Ave. – This officer observed a red Honda sedan traveling at a high rate of speed. Vehicle was stopped. Upon making contact with the driver this officer observed the driver had red and watery eyes, spoke with a slurred speech and smelled of an alcoholic beverage. The offender failed field sobriety tests. Offender taken into custody for DUI.
10-23-12 01:39 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Drive under influence
200 block Congress Ave. – The offender was taken into custody after police responded to an accident call. The offender did have blood shot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.
10-23-12 10:19 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – The reporting party stated that her estranged husband came to her residence and took their child. The husband fled into Philadelphia. There is no custody order so the husband will be charged with disorderly conduct.
10-23-12 14:07 hours – Ptl. S. Nick – Theft- $50 to $200 from buildings
100 block Green Ave. (PWHS) – Police dispatched to the high school for report of a theft. On police arrival the juvenile offender was in custody of the school. The offender did take the wallet of the victim. The offender was taken into police custody and processed. A juvenile petition was prepared. The offender was released to his mother.
10-23-12 16:24 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Burglary-forced entry-residence-day
Unit block Windermere Ave. – Victim reports upon returning home discovered the door jam and door to the apartment damaged. Bedrooms has been gone through, an iPad and lap top were missing.
10-23-12 11:43 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Burglary-forced entry- residence- day
Unit block S. Wycombe Ave. – Maintenance man reports apartment #5 had been pried open. The only thing missing from the apartment was approximately $2.00 worth of loose change.
10-23-12 07:30 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- $200 & over from buildings
Clover Ave. – The victim reports he discovered that a large number of his hand tools, power tools and lawn care equipment was missing from his shed and the basement. The victim also reports it is his son who stole the items. The victim is unsure whether he wants to prosecute or not.
10-25-12 07:45 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Disorderly conduct
Unit block Rose Ln. – Juvenile offender taken into custody after attacking another student trying to get on the school bus. The juvenile offender was cited and released to his father.
10-27-12 02:44 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Assaults-other simple
100 block Berkley ave. – Responded to a call of domestic fight. On arrival met the offender who stated he and his wife were arguing and she locked herself in the bathroom. The victim climbed out the bathroom window and went to a neighbor’s home to call the police. The victim had a swollen bottom lip and was bleeding. The offender was taken into custody. The victim was provided instructions on obtaining an emergency PFA in the morning.
10-27-12 01:39 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Public drunkenness
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – On police arrival an unknown barefoot white female was viewed pulling at the front door of the building. A strong odor of alcoholic beverage could be smelled emanating from the offenders breath and person, she also exhibited glassy/bloodshot eyes. The offender was returned to her apartment and her husband and will be issued citations for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
10-28-12 18:40 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan -Theft- $200 & over
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – The victim states her ex-boyfriend had taken her phone and was now making calls from different numbers to harass her. The victim would like to prosecute the offender for the theft of the phone and the contempt of court order as she has a PFA against him.
