Police Blotter 10-2-17 to 10-8-17

10/02/2017 09:21 -ROBBERY
MANSFIELD AND ESSEX AVE.

DELCOM dispatched the Lansdowne Police Department to the area of Mansfield Ave. and W. Essex Ave., for a report of a carjacking. DELCOM advised that a handgun was displayed and that that actors were two black males. The actors took the victim’s vehicle and were last seen heading towards Shadeland Ave. Actors were later apprehended in Philadelphia.

PENN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL

The offender will be cited for disorderly conduct for her involvement in a verbal altercation with another student at PWHS.

NORTH LANSDOWNE AVE.

Police were dispatched for a retail theft that just occurred on N. Lansdowne Ave. Unable to locate suspect. Property was recovered.


10/04/2017 06:54- MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
WEST BALTIMORE AVE.

Dispatched for a stolen vehicle discovered. The victims reported that their daughter disappeared from their apartment this morning and so did the keys and their vehicle. The suspect has no driver’s license. The victims requested the vehicle be entered as stolen rather that unauthorized use. Vehicle was later returned within a couple of hours. No charges filed.


10/04/2017 18:00- CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
LANSDOWNE TRAIN STATION

Victim came to the Lansdowne Police Station to report an attempted theft of his bicycle. He states that he chained his bike up at the bike rack at the Lansdowne Train Station this morning and then took the train into work. When he returned, he found that an unknown actor(s) attempted to pull the bike apart from the rack but the lock prevented them from taking it.

EAST PLUMSTEAD AVE.

Police were dispatched to the business on East Plumstead Ave. for a report of a retail theft that just occurred in which a black male had ran into the store then grabbed merchandise and ran out of the store. The area was searched but the actor was not located.


10/05/2017 15:30- THEFT
WALTON PLACE

Victim came to the Lansdowne Police station to report the theft of her child’s bicycle and tricycle. She stated that the two items were on her property and were taken sometime overnight.


10/05/2017 23:21- ASSAULT
NORTH UNION AVE.

Police were dispatched toN. Union Ave. and Essex Ave. Victim reported while driving his bicycle, 2 males approached him and one kicked the tires of the bike causing the victim to fall into the street.


10/06/2017 11:48- ASSAULT
PENN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL

Dispatched to Penn Wood High School for a delayed report of an assault. Investigation continues.


10/06/2017 17:27 THEFT
200 BLK. WEST MARSHALL RD.

Lansdowne Police were dispatched toW. Marshall Rd, for a theft discovered. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who advised that a garden hose had been stolen from his front yard.


10/07/2017 00:25- DISORDERLY CONDUCT
SCOTTDALE RD.

While on routine patrol officer made contact with a suspicious occupied vehicle that was parked in Hoffman Park after dark. Through subsequent investigation the driver/vehicle owner was cited for disorderly conduct.


10/08/2017 03:40- DISORDERLY CONDUCT
NORTH UNION AVE.

While on routine patrol, an officer observed a black Chrysler 300 traveling the wrong way on N. Union Ave. During the subsequent investigation, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was recovered from the vehicle.


10/08/2017 15:41- THEFT ATTEMPT
EAST BALTIMORE AVE.

Dispatched to the business for a theft attempt -just occurred. Once out, police spoke with manager who reported that a woman came into the store carrying some baby items in a small bag. A short time later, the woman approached the counter with a very worn and tattered receipt and attempted to return the items listed on the receipt.
