Police activity week of 10-21-13 through 10-27-13

10-23-13 18:08 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – All other vandalism
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – Police dispatched to Lansdowne Library for a vandalism that had just occurred. The victim stated the offender started a fight with him in the library by stating; “I’m going to shoot your mom and “I’m going to pop your tires”. The offender then walked out and with a pencil
damaged the victim’s bike brakes.


10-23-1317:51 hours – ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
Madison Rd. – Police dispatched to Gladstone Train Station for a theft from vehicle discovered. The victim showed this officer his vehicle. The vehicle was a 2001 Mustang, convertible with a soft top. The vehicle’s soft top was cut and it appeared to be a 3×3 hole. The victim stated his Garmin touch screen GPS was taken. Value of the GPS is $250.00. Unknown at this time the cost to replace and repair the
soft top to the vehicle.


10-24-13 09:24 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Theft – under $50 – retail
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – One offender taken into custody for theft of lotion at the CVS. Value of items from the store is $40.77. The offender does have 20 prior arrests and 9 convictions for retail theft.


10-24-13 19:02 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Assault- firearm
100 block Nyack Ave. – Responded for call of shots fired. On location one victim located with gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital. Another shooting victim was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. The scene was secured and Detectives were called to the scene. This investigation will continue.


10-24-13 23:50 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Public drunkenness
N. Lansdowne & E. Baltimore Aves. – Two taken into custody after a physical domestic. Both offenders were under the influence and both were cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct and released.
