Police activity week of 10-12-15 through 10-18-15

10-12-15 -7:55 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Burglary-forced entry-residence-night
100 block Berkley Ave. – the victim reports that sometime overnight her apartment had been burglarized and a pair of sneakers had been stolen.

10-12-15 12:18 hours – Ptl. J. Downs – Robbery-armed-firearm-highway
100 block Blackburn Ave. – The victim, a cab driver, reported that two black males displaying a handgun stole $150.00 and one flip phone. The victim sustained a forehead laceration and a swollen, possibly broken, nose during the robbery.

10-12-15 13:28 hours – Ptl. J. Downs – Theft- $200 & over-auto accessories
100 block Nyack Ave. – The victim reports he noticed batteries missing from two trucks on his lot. He uses these trucks for plowing during the winter.

10-13-15 06:52 hours – Ptl. C. Parker – Theft- $200 & over from auto
Unit block W. Stewart Ave. – Upon arrival the victim’s driver’s side front window had been shattered and the driver’s steering wheel airbag was stolen.

10-13-15 10:58 hours – Ptl. T. Landau – Theft- $200 & over- retail theft
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Police dispatched to the Rite Aid for a retail theft. Upon arrival contact was made with the actor and arrested.

10-14-1505:20 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary-forced entry-residence-night
Unit block S. Union Ave. – One offender taken into custody. The offender was located inside a house under construction. The offender had two tire irons, a hacksaw, wire cutters and a pair of bolt cutters, a flashlight and four bags. One of the bags contained 50 pieces of freshly cut copper pipe and three brass valves.

10-15-15 11:30 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft-attempted-from auto
Unit block E. Plumstead Ave. – The victim reports that unknown actor(s) rifled through the contents of the passenger compartments of all three of the family vehicles. Nothing reported missing.

10-16-15 11:19 hours – Ptl. J. Downs – Theft – $200 & over – bicycles
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – The victim reports that two bicycles were stolen from his property. Both bikes were locked, the locks were cut.

10-11-15 10:24 hours – Ptl. J. Downs – Unauthorized use of MV
Unit block Nyack Ave. – The victim reports that a friend stole her purse. The purse contained her boyfriend’s truck keys and the suspect fled the scene in the pickup truck.

10-11-15 23:02 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Assaults
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – One arrested for a simple assault which occurred during a domestic dispute.

10-18-15 15:36 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Theft – under $50- retail theft
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – Responded to CVS for a retail theft that had occurred in the last ten minutes. CVS has no idea what was stolen or an amount total. The offender fled the scene.

10-18-15 23:46 hours – Ptl. C. Parker – DUI
W. Essex Ave. – One offender taken into custody as a result of a hit & run accident.

10-18-15 22:31 hours – PtL. C. Parker – Theft- attempted-from auto
300 block N. Wycombe Ave. – The victim reports an unknown male was viewed leaning inside of the driver’s side door of her vehicle. When the actor viewed the victim he fled the scene.
