Police activity week of 10-06-14 through 10-12-14
10-06-1404:48 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Criminal mischief to auto
Unit block S. Wycombe Ave. – The victim reports the left front tire of his vehicle appeared to have been slashed.
10-06-14 18:46 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Theft- under $50 retail theft
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – On offender arrested for retail theft from the Rite Aid.
10-06-1420:34 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Contempt of court
Unit block Sayers Ave. – Police dispatched for a domestic. The victim reported that the offender had somehow gotten into her apartment. The offender has an active PFA against him. He was taken into custody.
10-07-14 11:55 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Threats
100 block Green Ave. – PWHS – Responded to PWHS for a fight. Two offenders taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.
10-07-1409:04 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Vandalism
Scottdale Rd – Contractors work vehicle was damaged while parked at Hoffman Park.
10-07-14 17:05 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Disorderly conduct
200 block Wabash Ave. -Received numerous calls of a fight between juveniles
and adults. On arrival spoke to all parties involved and a citation for disorderly conduct will be filed on one of the juveniles.
10-08-1401:29 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Assault to rape
100 block S. Lansdowne Ave. – LPD received a report of a sexual assault victim admitted through the emergency room ofthe hospital. The victim stated she was sexually assaulted and raped by a person she met on an online dating service. Investigation will continue.
10-08-14 11:17 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Disorderly conduct
200 block N. Wycombe Ave. – Police responded to a fight. On arrival this officer spoke to several people before taking one man into custody. The man was cited for disorderly conduct.
10-08-14 11:00 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- $200 & over
Unit block Rose Ln. – The victim reports the theft of two rings from her home. Estimated value of the items $4,700.00.
10-09-14 18:06 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Forgery
100 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reported to LPD that there was at least $200.00 worth of unauthorized withdrawals from her checking account. The checks were forged to make these withdrawals.
10-09-1423:29 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Public drunkenness
Unit block N. Highland Ave. – Officer was taken into custody after this officer observed the offender, again, attempt to enter an apartment. The offender was lodged in the cell for the night. He received citations upon release in the morning.
10-09-1422:59 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Burglary- forced entry-residence-night
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – Received a call for a burglary in the basement storage area of the apartment complex. It appears that nothing is missing and the only loss is replacing three missing windows.
10-10-14 18:45 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- $200 & over
100 block Powelton Ave. -The victim reported to police stolen rent money taken from his apartment sometime yesterday 10-09-14.
10-12-14 12:33 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Criminal mischief
100 block Powelton Ave. – The victim reports a dent with a partial shoe print on his front door.
10-12-14 18:11 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Littering
Unit block Deforest Rd. – Neighbors called to report many items, including personal property, had been placed on the sidewalk. The neighbor suspects the resident of the property may be having some mental health problems. Items were moved to allow traffic to flow.
