Police activity week of 10-05-15 through 10-11-15
10-06-15 10:05 hours – Sgt. C. Schiazza – Criminal mischief to auto
Unit block Windermere Ave. – The rear window of the victim’s vehicle was shattered, there was a large bag of trash on top of the vehicle and scratches all over the vehicle.
10-06-1507:56 hours – Ptl. L Albertoli – Assault
W. Baltimore &Owen Aves. – The victim reports an incident of road rage/reckless driver. The victim explains that an irate driver pulled beside her car, got out his vehicle, hitting her car with his door, yelled at her, spit on her and then left in his vehicle striking her vehicle as he fled the scene. The victim got the license plate number of the vehicle.
10-06-15 12:47 hours – Ptl. T. Landau – Criminal mischief to auto
Unit block of Legion Ter. – Police were dispatched for an unoccupied vehicle with the windows broken out. This officer observed the scratches around the vehicle, the front and rear windshield smashed and all four tires were slashed.
10-07-1509:00 hours – Ptl. C. Parker – Theft- $200 & over
100 block N. Lansdowne. – The complainant came to LPD to report the theft of cooper piping from the boiler room of the Essex House Condos. Total loss, including the cost of repair is approximately $2,700.00.
10-07-1509:08 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Criminal mischief to public buildings
100 block Green Ave. PWHS – The school reports an incident involving a fire that happened at the school on October 6th. Did view school’s video surveillance to further investigate. The offender was observed in several areas of the school including the area of the fire. Investigation to continue.
10-07-15 14:27 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Disorderly conduct
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The store employee reported that a black male had left the store with merchandise without paying. The offender was taken into custody. Merchandise was recovered.
10-07-15 18:10 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Other assaults
E. Essex & Crawford Aves. – The victim reports that she had been subjected to unwanted physical contact. While walking on E. Essex Avenue a young black male grabbed her arm to spin her around. She stated that the male then grabbed her waist. The victim yelled and the male ran away.
10-07-15 16:04 hours – Ptf. J. Downs – Theft- $50 to $200- bicycles
Unit block Florence Ave. – The victim reported she had left her mountain bike unsecured on her front porch and when she left for work the bike was gone.
10-08-1500:06 hours – Ptf. D. Schiazza – MV theft-autos-parking lots
100 block Berkley Ave. – The victim reported that his vehicle had been stolen from the rear parking lot.
10-09-1515:40 hours – Ptf. K. McDermott – Fraud – Credit cards, ATM
The victim reported fraudulent activity on her Kohl’s credit card that took place on 9/24/15 at the Kohl’s store in Morton, PA.
10-09-1517:31 hours – Ptf. L. Albertoli – Theft- $50 to $200 – bicycles
100 block Green Ave. PWHS – The victim reports that she locked her bike to a no parking sign just south of the main entrance to PWHS. When she left school today to go home, she found the bike missing.
10-09-15 18:46 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Burglary-attempt-residence-day
100 block Windsor Ave. – Dispatched for an audible burglar alarm. On arrival found that unknown person(s) had tampered with a basement jalousie window. Checked the interior of the home. It did not appear that anyone had made entry beyond opening the window. We did advise the victim to call 9-1-1 immediately if there was any other problem or suspicious conditions.
