Police activity week of 09-28-15 through 10-04-15

09-28-1501:15 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- $200 & over- bicycles
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – Two bicycles were stolen from the driveway of the residence. The bicycles were strapped to the rear of the vehicle at the time of theft.


09-28-15 13:45 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Fraud- credit cards, ATM
Unit block Scottdale Rd. – Dispatched for a theft discovered. The victim advised that a company credit card was used to make a purchase by a former employee.


09-29-1507:41 hours – Ptl. C. Parker – Theft- $50 to $200 -bicycles
100 block Bryn Mawr Ave. – the victim reports the theft of his bicycle from the rear of his driveway. The bike was not secured.


09-29-1511:17 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- $200 & over
100 block Nyack Ave. – The business reported that over the past month, items have been missing and he believes it is an employee. Investigation to continue.


09-29-15 16:02 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- under $50 from auto
Unit block E. Windermere Ter. – The victim reports unknown actor entered her vehicle. She reported that approximately $35.00 worth of cash and change was taken. The victim stated the vehicle was probably not secure.


09-29-15 16:44 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Public drunkenness
200 block W. Baltimore Ave. – The complainant reports his neighbor/offender was under the influence of alcohol and drugs and had created a threatening condition by yelling at him when he arrived home. The offender was taken into custody when found to be manifestly under the influence of alcohol and drugs.


09-29-15 23:31 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Burglary-forced entry-residence-night
100 block E. Plumstead Ave. – Upon arrival officers discovered that the vacant 2nd floor rear apartment next to the witness/complaint’s had been burglarized.


09-30-15 13:00 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Counterfeiting
Unit block S. Union Ave. – The victim reports several counterfeit checks have been cashed on his business account.


10-03-1504:18 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Burglary-attempt-residence-night
Unit block Ardmore Ave. – The victim’s son stated he confronted a man attempting to open the rear door of his home. The man walked away after being confronted.


10-03-15 22:45 hours – Ptl. J. Downs – Drug equipment violations
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – The offender was taken into custody after a pedestrian stop. The offender did have a small bag of leafy green substance believed to be marijuana and a glass pipe.
