Police activity week of 09-26-16 through 10-02-16

09-26-16 01:06 hours- Sgt. C. Schiazza- Public drunkenness
Unit block Sayers Ave.- One female taken into custody after receiving a call for a female by the tracks yelling for help.

09-26-16 Sgt. C. Schiazza -Theft- $200 & over
Unit block W. Albemarle Ave.- The victim reports that over $380.00 was missing from his backpack. The victim suspects his roommate’s girlfriend who reportedly has taken things in the past. This investigation will continue.

09-26-16 12:45 hours- Ptl. J. McGowan- Burglary-attempt-residence
100 block E. Marshall Rd.- The victim reported that she discovered that the screens to her windows were opened, but no entry was gained due to the window being locked.

09-26-16 17:53 hours- Ptl. J. McGowan- Burglary-attempt-residence
Unit block E. Essex Ave.- The victim reports two window screens were cut and opened. He reported that no access was gained into the residence.

09-26-16 20:01 hours- Ptl. D. Schiazza- Criminal mischief to auto
100 block Blackburn Ave.- The victim reported she discovered that the right front passenger side window on her vehicle had been broken intentionally.

09-26-16 19:08 hours- Ptl. M. Ammon- Burglary-attempt-residence
300 block Wabash Ave.- A neighbor heard breaking glass and saw a black male walking down the steps of the neighboring property. The neighbor called police. The residence is currently vacant and for sale. No entry was gained into the residence.

09-27-16 17:01 hours- Sgt. K. Kienzle- Harassment
Unit block W. Greenwood Ave.- The victim has been receiving numerous calls from a male acquaintance. The calls have gotten more aggressive. The male will be cited for harassment.

09-27-16 18:13 hours- Sgt. K. Kienzle- Vandalism
200 block N. Highland Ave.- The victim stated that the front window of her home was damaged when a baseball was thrown at the window. She observed a group of young males break the window and run off. The window does need to be replaced.

09-28-16 09:30 hours- Sgt. K. Kienzle- Theft- $200 & over
100 block Green Ave. PWHS. The mother of the victim reports her son’s iphone was taken during basketball practice at the PWHS gym.

09-29-16 20:46 hours- Ptl. L. Albertoli – Robbery-armed-firearm-highway
N. Highland & E. LaCrosse Aves.- The victim was approached by two young black male actors wearing all dark clothing. One actor displayed a dark handgun. Taken was a bag containing the victim’s bible and reading glasses. The actors fled east on LaCrosse Ave.

10-01-16 12:22 hours- Ptl. J. McGowan- Vandalism
100 block Blackburn Ave.- The victim reports three holes in the basement windows as a result of a BB gun fired through the window pane.

10-01-16 20:33 hours- Sgt. B. Eidell – Robbery-attempt-firearm-chain store
100 block E. Plumstead Ave.- LPD dispatched for a hold up alarm. A second call indicated that there was an attempted armed robbery of the store. The actor did point a hand gun at the victim and stated “Give me the money!” The victim hit the panic alarm and the actor fled the store.
