Police activity week of 09-21-15 through 09-27-15

09-21-15 09:25 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- under $50 from auto
200 block N. Maple Ave. – The victim reports that sometime overnight an unknown actor(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and removed about $1.50 in loose change.

09-21-15 12:55 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- $50 to $200
100 block Green Ave. – PWHS – Police dispatched to PWHS for a theft of a wallet discovered. It was discovered the juvenile offender had stolen a wallet from another student’s locker. The offender then left school, unexcused; a juvenile petition will be filed against the offender.

09-22-15 14:49 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Vandalism
Unit block E. Greenwood Ave. – The victim discovered a rock had been thrown through the screen and glass of his center living room window.

09-23-15 14:15 hours – Ptl. J. Downs – Harassment
Unit block N.Lansdowne Ave. – After an altercation on the street all parties were cited for harassment.

09-24-15 18:48 hours – Ptl. J. Downs – Burglary-forced entry-residence-day
100 block Woodland Ave. – The victim reported that she had come home to find the back door had been forced open. This appears to be a domestic situation.

09-24-15 14:23 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Burglary-no force-residence- unk
Unit block Mansfield Rd. – The victim reports his residence had been burglarized. Several computer items were taken from the home.

09-25-15 14:44 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft-$50 to $200 – Bicycles
Unit block Dudley Ave. – The victim reports her son’s bike taken from the front porch. On 9-27-15 the victim observed a b/m riding, what she believed to be her son’s bike. Police were able to stop and identify the male and recover the bike. The juvenile riding the bike indicated he found the bike.

09-26-15 20:10 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Disorderly conduct
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Responded to the Rite Aid for the possible retail theft in progress. It was determined that no retail theft took place. During the investigation it was discovered that the offender had a small amount of marijuana in his possession. The marijuana was confiscated and the offender was cited.

09-27-15 19:11 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft- attempted-bicycles
200 block Wabash Ave. – The victim reports observing one male on his deck attempting to remove his bike and four males in the alley watching. The victim yelled and they all ran down the alley toward Essex Ave. The area was checked and no suspects were located.
