Police activity week of 09-16-13 through 09-22-13

09-16-13 15:04 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Burglary-no force – residence- day
100 block Woodland Ave. – Responded for a burglary discovered. The victim reports her residence burglarized. The victim stated that her basement door and front door were ajar. The victim is not sure if she locked the doors when leaving this morning. There were no signs of forced entry. While walking through the residence, this officer observed that the four burners on the stove were turned on high, but that the burners were not actually producing any heat. A broken glass dish was observed on the kitchen floor. A bottle of baby oil was poured on the living room floor and a knife was left on the couch. The victim stated the knife was not there in the morning. The victim’s brothers’ laptop was found in the kitchen sink with the water running. The victim suspects her ex-boyfriend is responsible for the burglary. The only things missing at this point are two play stations.


09-16-13 19:00 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- under $50
100 block W. Marshall Rd. – The victim came to LPD HQ to report a theft. On Sunday 9/15/13 she had discovered that her outside walkway solar lights had been stolen. The victim reported that it was 12 solar LED ground light worth $4.00 per light.


09-18-13 13:33 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft- $50 to $200 bicycles
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports his bicycle taken from outside the store. The bike was not locked. The bike is a black/red men’s, 12 speed Quintana Roo, valued at $150.00.


09-18-13 16:47 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- $200 & over
200 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Received a report from the victim that he had received bills from Citi Bank and Bank of America for fraudulent charges on his account in excess of $15,000.00. This investigation will continue.


09-19-13 14:18 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Theft- $50 to $200 – retail theft
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – One male offender taken into custody for retail theft. The offender was identified by a store employee and all items were returned to the store. Product value totaled $107.39.


09-20-13 19:40 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
Madison Rd. – The victim reports that unknown actor/s entered her vehicle and stole a TomTom GPS unit worth approximately $160.00. Also taken were two rolls of quarters.


09-21-13 22:15 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Public drunkenness
Unit block E. Plumstead Ave. – The reporting party stated there was a man knocking on her door asking her to call police. On arrival located the offender. The offender stated he believed he was having a stroke. This officer observed the offender to be unsteady on his feet, slurred speech and had a strong odor of alcohol on his person. The offender was transported to the hospital and will be cited for public drunkenness.
