Police activity week of 09-12-16 through 09-18-16

09-12-16 11:25 hours- Sgt. B. Eidell -Assaults simple
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave.- Police responded to a female trying to make forcible entry into a neighbors apartment. The offender was taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.

09-12-16 09:25 hours- Sgt. B. Eidell- Theft- $200 & over
100 block Berkley Ave.- The victim reports a gas powered extended reach hedge trimmer taken from his yard.

09-12-16 15:53 hours- Sgt. B. Eidell- Burglary-attempt-residence-day
Unit block Windermere Ave.- The victim reports an attempt to gain entry into his residence. There was damage to the door frame. No entry was gained.

09-13-16 12:12 hours- Sgt. J .McCaughan- Assault to rape
Unit block W. Greenwood Ave.- LPD was contacted by the State of New Jersey, Department of Children and Families in reference to a report of a sexual assault that is believed to have occurred in Lansdowne approximately five years ago. There will be a further investigation into this incident.

09-14-16 06:30 hours- Ptl. C. Parker- Theft- $200 & over
Scottdale Rd.- LPD received a report of a theft from a mobile mini storage system container, located in Hoffman Park. Several heavy construction tools were removed.

09-14-16 18:24 hours- Ptl. l. Albertoli- Theft- under $50
100 block E. Stewart Ave.- The victim reports the theft of a trash can. Value $20.00.

09-15-16 01:50 hours- Ptl. C. Craig- Public Drunkenness
100 block Scottdale Rd.- One offender taken into custody as a result of a domestic. The offender was highly intoxicated.

09-15-16 08:47 hours- Sgt. C. Schiazza- All other-threats
100 block Green Ave. PWHS- One juvenile offender taken into custody for threatening a teacher at the school.

09-15-16 07:32 hours- Ptl. L. Albertoli- Theft- under $50 from auto
200 block Ardmore Ave.- The victim reports someone entered his vehicle and several items were taken from the vehicle. The victim did recall using his remote to lock the vehicle, but there were no signs of forced entry.

09-15-16 09:08 hours- Ptl. K .McDermott- Theft- attempted from auto
100 block Berkley Ave.- The victim reports her vehicle was rummaged through. Nothing appears missing.

09-15-16 21:10 hours- Ptl. M. McGinnis- DUI
200 block N. Wycombe Ave.- One taken into custody for DUI as a result of a vehicle accident.
