Police activity week of 09-09-13 through 09-15-13

09-09-13 10:23 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Burglary-forced entry-residence- unknown time
Unit block Knoll Rd. – Police dispatched for burglary discovered. Upon arrival this officer made contact with the victim. The victim stated that he and his daughter were on vacation. They left on 8/20/13 at approximately 0700 hours. The pair returned home to find the lights in the house on, but the doors were locked. The property appeared to have been gone through. There were many things opened around the rooms, but everything appeared to have been gone through diligently, nothing was thrown around. Point of entry seems to be the rear porch. Items missing include a Ithaca pump shotgun.


09-09-13 16:21 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Burglary- no force-residence-day
300 block Barker Ave. – Police received a report of a home invasion that occurred 20-30 minutes ago. Upon our arrival the victim stated he was in an upstairs bedroom playing video games, two black males wearing bandanas over their faces suddenly appeared in front of him. The one male held a gun to his head and told him not to fight. The two male offenders took items from each room then ran out of the house utilizing the unlocked rear back door. The family members are not sure what items were taken at this time and will be providing a list of stolen items when possible.


09-10-13 18:30 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. -The victim parked her vehicle in front of the Dunkin Donuts. The victim went inside to make a purchase after locking her vehicle doors. A witness was in the parking lot when he observed a black male in his teens smash out the driver’s side window on the vehicle and take items. Taken from the vehicle were the victim’s Iphone and white woman’s wallet.


09-12-13 07:50 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle -Theft- $50 to $200
Unit block E. Essex Ave. – The victim reports sometime overnight unknown actor/s stole several decorative lights from her front yard. Approximate value of the items is $90.00.


09-13-13 16:53 hours – Sgt. J Eisenhart – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
Madison Rd. – Received a report of a theft discovered from a motor vehicle at the Gladstone Train Station parking lot. The victim, who was on the scene, reported the center console of his Jeep had been forced open and the handle of the glove box was broken off. Missing from the vehicle is about $5.00 in quarters. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. The victim is certain that he had locked the vehicle prior to getting on the train.


09-13-13 21:21 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- $200 & over from auto
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – The victim reports her vehicle was broken into. Access was gained through the broken out front passenger side window. The items taken were 2 laptop computers.


09-14-13 11:26 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Burglary-no force- residence- unknown time
100 block Bartram Ave. – The victim reported a burglary occurred earlier to his home involving the theft of copper piping. The house was under renovation and the contractor had not put in basement windows as of yet. This gave anyone easy access to the basement of the home. Also missing from the basement was a Dewalt Chop saw.


09-14-13 12:17 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Burglary-forced entry residence – unknown
100 block Drexel Ave. – LP received a report of a burglary discovered. This officer met with the representative of the property management company. The reporting party stated that the bank owns the property and his company is to provide maintenance. Today he discovered a front door window pane broken out. Upon entering the basement he discovered approximately 40 feet of copper piping cut of the ceiling. Also missing is a furnace of unknown make and model.
