Police activity week of 08-27-12 through 09-02-12

08-27-12 13:03 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft-$200 & over from buildings
100 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The reporting party reports that sometime between Friday 8-24 in the afternoon and Saturday 8-25 in the afternoon three copper downspouts were forcibly removed from the exterior of the church building and a fourth was damaged.


08-28-12 03:00 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft- under $50- retail theft
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Dispatched to the Wawa for report of theft. Offender was located and taken into custody. Item taken from the store was located on the offender along with several pills (Hydrocodone). The offender will be charged appropriately.


08-28-12 10:35 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- $200 & over from buildings
100 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The reporting party stated that three copper down spouts were removed from the front of the church at some point between 1200 hours on 8/27 and 1030 hours on 8/28. It should be noted that three additional down spouts were stolen earlier this week from the same location.


08-28-12 15:00 hours – Ptl. S. Nick – Fraud-credit cards, ATM
200 block Wabash Ave. – The victim reports her father had used her ATM card on three separate occasions without her permission. The victim is willing to prosecute.


08-30-12 13:00 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Burglary-forced entry – residence – day
100 block E. Plumstead Ave. – Victim reports while walking his dogs his apartment was burglarized.

Missing from the apartment was jewelry belonging to his girlfriend. Approximate value of loss $7,000.00.


08-30-12 15:00 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell -Theft- $200 & over from buildings
200 block Wabash Ave. – The victim reports his wallet stolen from his residence. He states he had a neighbor over to play video games and when the neighbor left the victim discovered his wallet missing.
He tried to contact the neighbor without success. Cash a check and credit cards were in the wallet.


09-01-12 11:16 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Drive under the influence
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Police dispatched for reported reckless vehicle. Offender was located on parking lot of Wawa store. The offender was asked to perform field sobriety tests. The offender failed both tests and was taken into custody. He will be charged appropriately


09-01-12 15:22 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – MV theft-autos-street0commerical area
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Victim reports she was in a relationship with a man and that she had lent this man her vehicle on 8/30/12, she had not heard from his since and he has not returned the vehicle. The victim is willing to prosecute

On 9-2-12 the victim stated she no longer wants her vehicle listed as stolen because she knew where it was and does not want the boyfriend to get into trouble.


09-02-12 18:27 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – All others ordinance violations
Scottdale Rd. – Two offenders located firing a BB gun on the dam of the creek. Both offenders informed of the violation of Boro Ordinance 326-2. BB gun & pellets were confiscated. Both will be cited for the violation.
