Police activity week of 08-24-15 through 08-30-15
08-26-15 11:05 hours – Sgt. K. Rutherford – Theft- $200 & over
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – CVS regional loss prevention officer came to LPD HQ to report an internal theft from the store. At this time approx. $18,000.00 in cash was not deposited by the store manager. The investigation is ongoing.
08-26-15 12:45 hours – Ptl. T. Landau – Sex offenses-indecent exposure
Unit block Gladstone Rd. – The victim reports an incident of a male flashing her while she was walking her dog.
08-26-15 21:10 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Robbery-armed-firearm-chain store
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – LPD was dispatched to the Dollar store for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. The investigation is ongoing.
08-27-15 06:50 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Robbery-attempt-strong arm
S. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports a man had tried to steal her cell phone. The suspect came up behind her and attempted to take her phone. They struggled and the man gave up and ran south on Lansdowne.
08-27-15 19:57 hours – Ptl. J. Downs – Theft- $50 to $200 – bicycles
200 block Scottdale Rd. – Police dispatched for a suspicious condition of 5 to 6 black males who the complainant believes stole a bicycle.
08-28-15 23:35 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- $200 & over
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Responded to a report of a theft by employee. Pertinent information was gathered and the offender was placed in custody.
08-28-15 23:43 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Robbery-attempt-firearm-highway
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Report of a robbery attempt by implied firearm. One taken into custody for this offense. The offender did have his 11 moth old child with him. CYS was contacted in reference to the child.
08-29-15 13:01 hours – Ptl. J. Downs – Burglary-forced entry-residence-day
Unit block of E. Albemarle Ave. -Responded to a report of a burglary, not in progress. The victim reports her residence had been burglarized. Several items were taken from the residence. Victim suspects a former acquaintance.
08-30-15 07:55 hours – Ptl. J. Downs – Burglary-no force-non-residence- day
100 block W. Stratford Ave. – The victim reports that two black teenage males had entered her garage in an attempt to steal a bicycle. When she confronted them they fled on foot. Two males were taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.
