Police activity week of 08-15-11 through 08-21-11

08-15-11 15:20 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott -Theft- $200 & over from buildings
200 block W. Plumstead Ave. – the reporting party stated that several of his wife’s rings were stolen from their home on 6-4-11. The victims had a graduation party for their daughter on 6-4-11 with several guests attending. They noticed the rings missing the next day. The victims did not report the theft earlier because they thought the rings were possibly misplaced.


08-16-11 08:22 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- $200 & over
Unit block E. Plumstead Ave. -The reporting party, an employee of a roofing company, stated that approximately 100 ft of copper piping had been stolen from the location.


08-16-11 08:50 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
Belmont Ave. – The victim’s vehicle had been ransacked. Missing from the vehicle were a silver Apple IPod, approximately $5.00 in change, his black leather wallet ( credit cards, Pa drivers license, ID) the victim already canceled his credit cards. The victim believed he had locked the vehicle.


08-16-11 23:30 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Public drunkenness
W. Baltimore Ave. – While on patrol located two intoxicated subjects. Both were taken into custody and house at police headquarters until they were sober enough to release. Both offenders were charged.


08-18-11 10:33 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Theft $200 & over from auto
Unit block W. Stratford Ave. – Victim’s vehicle was entered overnight. Wallet & sunglasses were missing from the auto. Victim is unsure if his vehicle was locked.


08-18-11 13:01 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Theft $200 & over from auto
200 block W. Marshall Rd. – Victim’s vehicle was entered and his TomTom GPs, black wallet and identification was missing. He believes he had locked his vehicle.


08-18-11 12:58 hours 0 Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary-attempt-residence-unknown time
200 block N. Maple Ave. – The reporting party, realtor for the property, stated the house had been broken into. The actor/s attempted to steal copper piping but instead burst a water main.


08-18-11 14:11 hours – Sgt. Kienzle – Assaults
S. Lansdowne @ Linden Ave. Police received a report of a man assaulting a woman. On arrival this officer observed the offender physically struggling with the victim. The offender was taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.


08-18-11 17:08 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Burglary-forced entry-residence- day
200 Wabash Ave. – Basement door of property had been forced open. The property is vacant. Copper piping removed from the property.


08-18-11 19:03 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Burglary-attempt-residence-unknown time
Unit block Ardmore Ave. – Property was entered, unknown at this time if anything is missing.


08-19-11 09:50 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Flim flam
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Victim stated that two men scammed her out of $1,000. Investigation to continue.


08-20-11 17:40 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- under $50 from buildings
Unit block Lansdowne Ct. – The victim discovered a UPS parcel partially open in the foyer of his apartment complex. The package was addressed to the victim and contained booklets of deposit tickets. The booklets were missing.
