Police activity week of 08-01-11 through 08-07-11

08-01-11 16:66 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- $50 to $200 all other
Unit block W. Windermere Ter. – The victim reported that her credit union debit card had unauthorized transaction on it.

08-01-11 18:41 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Driving under the influence
W. Baltimore Ave. – As a result of an accident the offender was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated.

08-02-11 08:38 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Assaults-other simple
S. Lansdowne Ave. – This officer responded for a report of a disorderly subject. On arrival officers spoke with Ptl L. Albertoli, who was on a special detail at the train station. There was also a Delaware County community Service supervisor with a group of people working off their community service hours. One of the workers, who was serving her community service, was yelling and cursing at another worker. The offender was advised to calm down and she was advised she was being sent home due to her actions. Suddenly without provocation the offender ran at the victim and began attacking him with a closed fist. The offender was taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.

08-02-11 11:16 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft- $50 to $200 all other
100 block S. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim came to headquarters to report he believes that things have gone missing from his apartment over the last 12 months. Specifically, he indicated that he had a small four inch lock blade knife and an older Apple IPod that he has not been able to locate. He does not believe that the items have been lost and is not sure exactly when in the last year they have gone missing.

08-02-11 11:07 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- under $50 all other
Unit block W. Greenwood Ave. -The victim reported that sometime overnight two copper colored solar panel ornamental lights were stolen from his property. Lights are valued at approximately $19.99 each.

08-02-11 08:38 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- under $50 from auto
Unit block Berkley Ave. – The vim reported that her 2000 Nissan Maxima was entered sometime overnight as it sat unattended and unsecured in front of her residence. The victim’s wallet was left in the vehicle and the actor/s did steal approximately ten dollars in cash and her PA drivers’ license from the wallet. Nothing else missing from the vehicle.

08-02-11 22:38 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – theft- $200 & over auto accessories
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – the victim called police in reference to vandalism to her vehicle that was parked in the lot. The victim stated that on Saturday 7-30-11 she had a blow out of her right front tire and pulled into the lot to change the tire. The spare ended up being bad and she spoke to someone in the complex who gave her permission to park the car where it was until she could return to fix tire or have vehicle towed. Upon her return she noticed her Pa registration plate missing and the side rear vent window broken, the car batter and several spark plugs missing from the engine.

08-03-11 13:55 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Burglary-forced entry-residence- unknown time
Unit block E. Stewart Ave. – The victim states that she thinks her property has been possibly broken into. Officer McGinnis observed the side door to the home had been pried open. Once inside Officer McGinnis observed that all of the copper piping had been cut out from the basement.

08-06-11 14:13 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Criminal mischief
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The reporting party states that a total of five electrical cords had been cut from various pieces of equipment in the church basement.

08-06-11 07:30 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Criminal mischief
Unit block N. Rigby Ave. – The victim advised police her apartment had been ransacked, she suspects her ex-boyfriend.

08-07-11 16:42 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- $200 & over
200 block Wayne Ave. – The victim reports his newer push mower was stolen from his property. The mower was a house warming present.
