Police Blotter 07-31-17 to 08-06-17

07/31/2017 13:15- THEFT
NORTH LANSDOWNE AVE.

Police responded to a theft, just occurred. On arrival the store manager reported that a man entered the rear door, cut the lock on the cigarette cage, and stole two large boxes, each containing numerous cartons of cigarettes. Investigation is continuing.


08/02/2017 15:59- DISORDERLY CONDUCT
OWEN AVE

Police were dispatched to Owen Ave. for a possibly intoxicated driver. Upon arrival on Owen Ave, officers found subject rolling around on the ground on the front walkway to the building. Officers assisted subject into the building. After twice being called back to the Owen Ave address, subject was taken into custody for Public Drunkenness, Disorderly Conduct and Harassment.


08/03/2017 09:04- RETAIL THEFT
EAST PLUMSTEAD AVE.

Police dispatched to a retail theft attempt at local store. Subject did assault store owner when she attempted to stop him from leaving.


08/04/2017 02:15 STRONG ARMED ROBBERY
MCKINLEY AVE.

Victim reports that tonight around 0100 hrs, she had been walking home and was on McKinley Ave. when she was attacked by two males. The victim reported that she had lost consciousness and when she regained her consciousness she went to her home. Investigation is continuing.


08/04/2017 09:27- THEFT FROM VEHICLE
200 BLK. WABASH AVE.

Lansdowne Police were dispatched to Wabash Ave for a theft from vehicle discovered. The victim reported numerous items missing from her vehicle including a firearm.


08/05/2017 11:15 FRAUD
UNIT BLK. WEST GREENWOOD AVE.

Police responded to a fraud complaint. Victim reported that she had found a one week rental of a vacation house in New Hampshire online and reserved the house. She stated that she made a deposit and even signed a lease agreement. She stated that she later discovered that the house is not for rent and she had been the victim of a scam.


08/06/2017 19:00- STRONG ARMED ROBBERY
WYCOMBE & POWELTON AVE.

Lansdowne Police were dispatched first for a medical emergency on the 200 Blk. Of N. Wycombe Ave. While enrooted officers were advised that it was possibly going to be a strong arm robbery. Upon arrival it was determined that a strong armed robbery did occur and the actors fled the area. Investigation continuing.
