Police activity week of 07-30-12 through 08-05-12

07-30-12 16:13 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Criminal mischief to automobiles
Unit block Windermere Ave. – The victim reported that unknown person/s vandalized his 2009 BMW 535i today while it was parked and unattended in the parking lot of his apartment complex. There were two scratch marks on the vehicle’s front and rear drivers side doors as if someone “keyed” the vehicle.

08-01-12 00:53 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Liquor law-underage
E. Marshall Rd. – while on routine patrol viewed two juveniles waling east on Marshall road in the roadway. Both parties admitted they were under the age of 18. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage could be smelled emanating from their breath and person. Both offenders taken into custody and issued citation for underage drinking. Both released to their father’s. Also parents did sign and acknowledgement of curfew violation form.

08-01-12 23:34 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Public drunkenness
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – While on patrol this writer observed the offender in the parking lot of the Lansdowne Municipal building. He stated his wife threw him out of the house. The offender had blood shot eyes, slurred speech, an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The offender was taken into custody. The offender was cited for public drunkenness and housed in a cell until he was sober enough to release.

08-02-12 03:33 hours – Ptl. C. Craig – Disorderly conduct
Unit block E. Plumstead Ave. – The offender was taken into custody after police received a report of a domestic dispute. The offender was located outside the apartment building yelling at a person inside the apartment building. After being advised several times by police to move away from the building, the offender was taken into custody. The offender was cited.

08-02-12 10:15 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft- $50 to $200
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – The victim reports that a gray dolly with air tires and extended handles was taken from in front of the property. Police searched the area for the missing dolly but were unable to locate the item.

08-02-12 15:04 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Burglary-forced entry-nonresidence- unknown time
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Complainant reports copper piping missing from the building. HE does not know how much is missing and referred us to the building owner. A window on the first floor and east side of the building may be where the actor/s gained entry.

08-02-12 19:07 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Criminal mischief to automobiles
Unit block N. Maple Ave. – Victim called to report damage to his 2009 red Chevrolet Venture. He stated that sometime between 19:00 hours on 8-1-12 and 06:00 hours on 8-2-12 unknown actor/s caused damage to the paint on his vehicle. He stated the vehicle was “keyed” on the hood, left front fender, the left front door, the left rear door and the left side of the rear gate.

08-03-12 17:31 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Criminal mischief to automobiles
200 block Owen Ave. – The reporting party states he returned home and parked his mother in laws vehicle in front of the home. Later that day he noticed the vehicle had been egged.

08-03-12 00:00 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan 0 Burglary- no force-residence-day
200 block W. Plumstead Ave. -The victim reported his residence was burglarized sometime today between 1200-1600 hours. A chain saw was stolen from the basement. The victim does leave his back sliding door on the deck unlocked.

08-03-12 19:36 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Burglary-attempt-residence-day
Unit block E. Greenwood Ave. – The victim showed police a rear basement window that was laying on the ground with a pane of glass broken. The victim reported he had last known the window to be secure the day before in the afternoon. No entry made.

08-04-12 01:12 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Assault-knife/cutting instrument
200 block N. Wycombe Ave. – Police received a repot of a domestic situation with further reports of the ambulance dispatched to that location for a stabbing. On location established that a domestic situation had occurred with one party attacking the other with a knife. Offender transported to hospital and when released was taken into custody and housed overnight at the police station.
