Police activity week of 07-28-14 through 08-03-14
07-28-1409:28 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Criminal mischief to auto
100 block E. Essex Ave. -The victim reported that sometime overnight someone had keyed his vehicles and put what looked like M&M candy into the gas tank.
07-28-1417:09 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Stolen property-receiving-all other
100 block Powelton Ave. – Police responded for a report of a subject riding a stolen bicycle. Police stopped the subject. The bike was confirmed to be stolen and the subject was placed in custody. The subject was processed and housed overnight until arraignment.
07-28-1403:20 hours – Ptl. c. Brown – Narcotics- possession – marijuana
N. Lansdowne Ave. – Offender was taken into custody for possession of marijuana. The offender’s vehicle was towed.
07-29-1403:14 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Burglary – attempt -residence-night
200 block Congress Ave. – The victim reports he awoke to go the bathroom. He heard noises and observed the shoulders and head of an unknown person in the window by the entry door. Upon seeing the victim the actor fled. No entry gained into the residence. Officers did check the area for the actor, none was located.
07-29-14 11:28 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- $50 to $200
100 block Bartram Ave. – The victim observed a white pickup truck backing out of the driveway with her property on the truck. Taken from the yard was a cast iron bathtub, which the victim viewed in the bed of the truck.
07-29-14 15:45 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- attempted- from auto
Unit block E. Essex Ave. – The victim stated that unknown person/s entered his unlocked vehicle. Nothing appeared missing, but the contents of the glove compartment had been rifled.
07-30-14 14:08 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Criminal mischief to auto
Unit block Windermere Ave. – The victim reports the side door to his vehicle was damaged. The victim noticed a quarter sized hole where the lock mechanism should have been. Estimated damage at $250.00.
07-30-1416:45 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Fraud- credit cards, ATM
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – The victim reported the theft of his credit union debit card from his apartment.
07-30-14 15:26 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- $200 & over – bicycles
Unit block Sayers Ave. – Police were dispatched for the theft of a bicycle. The offenders were arrested in Darby Borough and transported to LPD Headquarters. They were released to their parents. Two juvenile petitions will be completed.
07-31-14 16:44 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Theft- $200 & over -bicycles
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – Victim reports his son’s bike taken from the front yard. The juvenile offender was apprehended and will be charged with the theft.
07-31-1416:45 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Disorderly conduct
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Police were dispatched for a disorderly group. Group of males had caused a disturbance in the Rite Aid, causing a display to be knocked down. Three of the males were stopped and one was cited.
08-01-14 11:02 hours – Ptl. J .McGowan – Theft $200 & over from auto
100 block Woodland Ave. – LPD was initially dispatched for a suspicious unoccupied vehicle. Further information was the vehicle had a broken passenger side window. Made contact with the victim. The victim reports two women’s purses were taken from the vehicle.
08-02-14 14:08 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- $50 to $200 – bicycles
100 block E. Greenwood Ave. – The victim reported her bicycle was stolen from her rear patio. The bicycle was not secured.
08-03-14 12:40 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Harassment
Unit block Owen Ave. – Police responded for the report of a neighbor dispute in progress. Upon arrival the victim stated that the offenders had approached her in the front of her property and began yelling profanities and threatening her. This officer is familiar with the ongoing issue and had responded to this location several times in the past 24 hours. Both offenders will be filed citations for harassment.
08-03-1417:04 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Criminal mischief to auto
100 block McKinley Ave. – Criminal mischief to auto. Two juvenile offenders, apprehended, processed and released to parents. Juvenile petitions will be completed.
08-03-1420:22 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Disorderly conduct
100 block Hansell Rd. – One cited for disorderly conduct for unreasonable nosie.
