Police activity week of 07-25-11 through 07-31-11

07-25-11 17:14 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Criminal mischief to automobiles
Unit block Rose Ln. – The victim reports that she is up from Virginia Beach, Va with her son to visit her parents and sometime over the weekend the two rear tires of her car were slashed. The vehicle was parked in the driveway in front of her father’s vehicle, which was untouched.

07-26-11 13:18 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Criminal mischief to automobiles
N. Wycombe Ave. – While driving on N. Wycombe Avenue both victims heard bangs or pops and stopped their vehicles to find damage from possibly a pellet or BB gun. Both victims state they saw a black male passing by on a bicycle at the time of the incident. Damage to both vehicles estimated to be $800.00.

07-26-11 22:45 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Curfew law
E. Essex & Jackson Aves. – Two juvenile males were located on the borough streets after the curfew hour. One offender had received a previous curfew warning and was cited for curfew violation. The other offender was issued a warning. Both offenders were released to their mothers at police headquarters.

07-27-11 15:20 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Burglary-attempt-residence-unknown time
100 block E. Stratford Ave. – The victim states that someone had kicked in the rear door of his property. The victim was at work at the time. The victim stated that nothing appeared disturbed and nothing was missing.

07-27-11 19:05 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – theft- $50 to $200 – all other
Unit block E. Stewart Ave. – The victim reported that her portable basketball net was stolen from her driveway.

07-27-11 15:30 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Fraud
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim states that her adopted son of an unknown address has been stealing her government checks and pension checks from her without her knowledge. This case will be referred to the detective division.

07-27-11 18:26 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Burglary-forced entry-residence-unknown
Unit block E. Stewart Ave. – The victim reports a burglary discovered at his vacant for sale property. Missing from the property is cooper piping. The missing piping and resulting damage are estimated at $1,000.00 but may easily be higher.

07-28-11 02:14 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Assaults- other assaults (simple)
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – Physical domestic resulting in arrest of female offender.

07-28-11 03:06 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- under $50 from auto
200 block E. Essex Ave. – The victim’s unlocked vehicle was ransacked and missing from vehicle is approximately five dollars in loose change.

07-29-11 04:17 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Driving under the influence
100 block E. Plumstead Ave. – This officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed the wrong way on a one way street cause another vehicle that was traveling in the correct direction to pull to the right of the roadway to avoid an accident. The offender was stopped, was asked to step from the vehicle for field sobriety tests. The offender failed all there tests and was taken into custody. The offender will be charges appropriately.

07-30-11 00:20 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Public Drunkenness
100 block Drexel Ave. – The female was arrested for public drunkenness.
