Police activity week of 07-21-14 through 07-27-14

07-21-14 09:15 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Fraud – credit cards, ATM 100 block Walsh Rd.
The victim came to LPD to report that he was notified by his bank of possible fraud on his credit/debit card. This officer will follow up with the bank fraud investigator and area stores where the card was used to see if any surveillance can be obtained.

07-21-14 12:02 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Weapons-use-firearms 100 block E. Stewart Ave.
The property owner of the apartment building came to LPD to report someone fired a firearm in the structure last night. The property owner showed pictures of the damage to this officer. This incident will be referred to the Detective Division.

07-21-14 17:24 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- $200 & over – bicycles 100 block Walsh Rd.
The victim reports his son’s gray Mongoose missing from the rear storage shed.

07-21-14 18:50 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- All other vandalism 200 block Green Ave.
The reporting party is watching the residence for the homeowners who are on vacation. She reports unknown actor(s) had broken in the driver side rear window of the resident’s vehicle. The vehicle owner will return home Tuesday. This officer left a message for the owner to contact this officer.

07-22-14 17:46 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Disorderly conduct Unit block N. Highland Ave.
Three juvenile males were arrested after throwing trash onto the front lawn of a residence on N. Highland Avenue.

07-23-14 12:09 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Disorderly conduct Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave.
Offender did threaten to punch a bank employee in the face. The offender did make contact with the offender and informed him he will be cited for threatening the employee.

07-23-14 10:20 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft- under $50 from auto 100 block Owen Ave.
The victim reports her vehicle entered and a small amount of currency was taken from the vehicle.

07-23-14 19:44 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- under $50
Bicycle Police responded for a theft of bike reported. The bike was kept in the rear yard but was not secured to anything.

07-24-1400:45 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Public drunkenness N. Union & E. LaCrosse Aves.
The offender was taken into custody for public drunkenness. He was located in the street, appeared to be staggering and unsteady on his feet. There was a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. The offender will be housed at LPD until he is sober.

07-24-1417:30 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft- $50 to $200 – bicycle 100 block Blackburn Ave.
The victim reports a bike taken from his front porch. The bike is a Murray men’s beach cruiser.

07-25-14 14:45 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Disorderly conduct 200 block N. Wycombe Ave.
Offender was banging on a door of the apartment complex. The offender was located on the fire escape at the third floor. The offender was taken into custody after it was determined that she was under the influence of a substance. The offender was housed at LPD until she was sober enough to be released.

07-25-1420:39 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- $50 to $200 – bicycle Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave.
The victim reports that while in the store his bike had been stolen. There was a 20 minute delay as the victim went home to call police. Police checked the area with negative results.

07-27-14 -18:25 hours the stolen bike was recovered.
The victim did not want to press charges.

07-25-1420:37 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Theft- $50 to $200 – bicycles Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave.
The victim and her son reported that her red & black, 24” bike had been stolen from the front of the Wawa. This officer viewed the video surveillance of the actor taking the bike. Investigation to continue.

07-27-15 06:35 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct 100 block E. Baltimore Ave.
Responded to a domestic dispute. The offender was taken into custody and will be cited for disorderly conduct.

07-27-14 10:40 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- under $50 Unit block E. Baltimore Ave.
Offender placed into custody after stealing windshield washer fluid from the Rite Aid store.
