Police activity week of 07-14-14 through 07-20-14

07-14-1400:31 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft – attempted -from auto
100 block W. Marshall Rd. – While on patrol this officer did notice a vehicle parked in a driveway with the glove box open and items thrown on the front seat and the vehicle driver door was unlocked. The victim was advised and reported nothing appeared to be missing.


07-14-1400:30 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – loitering/prowling at night
100 block W. Marshall Rd. – The victim reported seeing a suspicious male in her yard and in her neighbor’s yard. The male left the area. The offender was apprehended in Upper Darby Township. The offender will be charged appropriately.


07-14-1401:17 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- attempted-from auto
100 block W. Marshall Rd. – Due to previous incident of loitering/prowling, this officer was checking the area for other vehicles that were entered. Did locate a ransacked vehicle. The victim reported nothing missing at this time. According to the victim, the vehicle was unlocked.


07-14-1401:55 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- under $50 from auto
100 block W. Marshall Rd. – Contact was made with the victim. He confirmed that the contents were removed from the glove box and center console of his vehicle. The driver’s side door was unlocked. Small change missing.


07-14-1401:51 hours – Ptl. Selimis – Theft – attempted- from auto
100 block W. Marshall Rd. – Victim’s vehicle was ransacked, nothing missing. No forced entry and both driver side doors were unlocked.


07-14-1406:16 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Criminal mischief
200 block Braddock Ave. -The victim reports the left front driver side window had been smashed. She reported nothing appeared to missing from the vehicle.


07-14-1408:37 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Criminal mischief
Unit block N. Wycombe Ave. – The victim reported he discovered the two left side tires of his vehicle had been punctured.


07-15-14 10:38 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Criminal mischief
Unit block Pennock Ter. – Upon returning home the victim discovered an unknown subject threw a rock through a first floor living room window.


07-17-1416:17 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- $50 to $00 – bicycles
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports he locked his bike out front of the Library. When he came out the bike was gone.


07-17-1420:33 hours – Ptl. c. Schiazza – Theft- $200 & over – Bicycles
200 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports his son’s three wheeler bike was taken from the side of the house. The bike had been chained to the railing.


07-18-1414:59 – Ptl. L. Albertoli -Theft- $200 & over
200 Shadeland Ave. – The victim, on two separate occasions, had discovered money missing from the house. The victim reports that on those occasions the only person who could be responsible was the home health care aids. After the second incident, the victim called the health care agency and he was advised to make a police report. Estimated loss to be $410.00.


07-19-14 14:56 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – All other – threats
100 block Owen Ave. – The victim has been having problems with his rebellious 17 year old son. Last evening the son stole $500.00 from his father. After an argument with the son, the son threatened to kill his father. The son was taken into custody. The offender will be charged appropriately.


07-19-14 18:35 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Robbery -armed- firearm-highway
Unit block Legion Ter. – The two victims were robbed at gunpoint while sitting on the front steps of the property. The actor took $20.00 each from the two victims and an iphone 4S. The actor fled the scene. The phone was recovered.


07-19-1417:19 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Burglary – forced-residence-day
Unit block S. Wycombe Ave. – The victim reported that when she returned home from work she found the front door to her apartment had been kicked or forced open. The victim reported that it did not appear that anything was missing at this time.
