Police activity week of 07-04-11 through 07-10-11

07-04-11 22:29 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Theft- $50 to $200- bicycles
100 block Green Ave. – The victim reported that before the fireworks he left his bike on the PWHS football field by the goal post. The victim states when he returned his bike was gone. The bike is a silver Mongoose Engage BMX style.

07-05-11 08:41 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis -Theft- under $20 from buildings
200 block Glentay Ave. -The victim reports plants stolen from the rear of her residence.

07-05-11 15:00 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft under $50 all other
200 block W. Plumstead Ave. – The victim reports she had another plant stolen off her property. A hanging basket.

07-08-11 09:30 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan -Theft-$200 & over from buildings
200 block Glentay Ave. – Victim reports his Homelite electric lawn mower and 50 foot heavy duty extension cord was taken from his garage sometime last night. The garage door was not locked.

07-06-11 14:53 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft-$50 to $200 all other
Unit block N. Maple Ave. -The victim reports that when she left her residence Friday 7-1-11 there was a “lawn mower go cart” in the side yard of her house and upon returning on 7-4-11 it was gone. The victim indicated that the conversion from lawn mower to go cart was a work in progress by her son and is not believed to run.

07-06-11 20:09 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft-$50 to $200 all other
200 block Berkley Ave. – The victim states someone had taken lawn decorations and lights from her front lawn. Four solar powered lawn lights along with two solar powered lawn decorations, one of a cat and one of a dog were taken.

07-07-11 16:00 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft-$50 to $200 bicycles
200 block W. Marshall Rd. – The victim’s son’s bike was taken from the breeze way on the side of her residence. The bike was a black and silver Diamondback BMX style bicycle.

07-08-11 03:44 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Driving under the influence
E. Baltimore Ave. – While on routine patrol observed a vehicle traveling without headlight illuminated. The vehicle was stopped. Upon approaching the offender vehicle, the operator exhibited glassy and bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage could be smelled emanating from her breath. The offender did fail the PBT. The offender was taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.

07-08-11 12:45 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Harassment
Unit block S. Union Ave. – The victim reports that her neighbor is continuing to make racial slurs around her and her family. After this officer spoke with the District Attorney’s office a charge of harassment will be filed on the offender.

07-08-11 16:30 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Criminal mischief to automobiles
Unit block E. Stewart Ave. -The victim reports vandalism to his 2008 gray Chrysler. The side driver mirrors was shattered and along the driver side door frame a small dent. The victim observed a small rock under his driver side mirror.

07-09-11 12:44 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Criminal mischief to automobiles
200 block Berkley Ave. – The victim showed this officer that his 2008 silver Hyundai Santa Fe had a shattered window on the driver side back seat. The window was intact earlier in the day.

07-10-11 08:00 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan -Theft- under $50
200 block W. Plumstead Ave. – The victim states that someone stole one of her plants from the front of her residence.

07-10-11 06:49 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Disorderly conduct
100 block e. Essex ave. – As a result of a physical altercation one offender was charged with disorderly conduct.
