Police activity week of 06-25-12 through 07-01-12
06-25-12 11:44 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Burglary-forced entry – residence -unknown time
Unit block W. Greenwood Ave. – Victim reports his home was burglarized and several cans of coins were taken. Entry point was a basement window.
06-26-12 20:52 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary-no force-residence-day
100 block W. Greenwood Ave. – Police responded to a burglary. The victim states her home was burglarized while she was at work. The victim believes that the lock on her front door had not locked when she left for work, meaning that the door to the home was unsecured. Missing from the home are a Dell laptop and Ipad2.
06-27-12 15:03 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Burglary-attempt-residence-day
Unit block W. Stewart Ave. – Police dispatched for a burglary alarm reported to the patio door. Damage was observed on the patio door. No entry made to the residence.
06-27-12 21:01 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Assaults- other assaults
Unit block S. Wycombe Ave. – Police responded to report of domestic between a male and a female. The male offender was taken into custody and held overnight. The female victim was advised to apply for a PFA.
06-27-12 21:33 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan -Theft- $200 & over, Trespassing of real property
100 block Ardmore Ave. (Ardmore Avenue School) – Police dispatched for a theft in progress. Two taken into custody. Male offender was observed taking cooper piping from the job sight. The female offender was used as a look out. Both will be charged appropriately.
06-28-12 12:40 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft- $50 to $200
Unit block Berkley Ave. – Victim reports theft from her bank accounts. Victim suspects her current boyfriend. Investigation to continue.
06-30-12 23:04 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Public drunkenness
E. Plumstead & Wabash Aves. – Police responded to a fight. On arrival no fight was taking place. A bystander (who left the area) was preventing the offender from getting back onto his car due to his high level of intoxication. The offender had blood shot eyes, slurred speech, had difficulty maintaining his balance and had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The offender was transported to the hospital due to his high level of intoxication. The offender was issued a citation for public drunkenness while at the hospital.
