Police activity week of 06-23-14 through 06-29-14
06-23-14 17:24 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell- Theft – $200 & over from auto
200 block Glentay Ave. – Received a report for a theft from vehicle, with possible description of the actor as a white male in his late teens wearing a red shirt. Officer c.J. Schiazza located a male matching that description and a subsequent pat down of his person did locate the victim’s stolen cell phone. The male offender was taken into custody and returned to LPD HQ.
06-24-14 11:04 hours – Ptl. c. Schiazza – Theft- attempted from auto
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – Victim reported her vehicle had been broken into and rifled through. This officer observed the left front driver side window was broken and shattered. The victim reported nothing missing from the vehicle.
06-24-14 10:05 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Theft- attempted from auto
100 block N. Highland Ave. – Received a report of a vehicle with the passenger side front window shattered. Did locate the victim and the victim stated nothing appears to be missing. Estimate to fix damage to vehicle is approximately between $300.00 and $500.00.
06-24-1421:46 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Disorderly conduct
W. Albemarle & Eldon Ave. – As a result of a vehicle stop two juvenile offenders were charged with disorderly conduct, and one juvenile offender was also charged with public drunkenness.
06-25-14 16:04 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft- $200 & over from auto
Unit block Bryn Mawr – Unknown actors entered the victim’s locked vehicle. The actor’s rifled through the contents of the car and removed a pair of sunglasses.
06-27-14 15:00 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- under $50 from auto
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – The victim reports that an unknown person(s) entered her vehicle. Six dollars ($6.00) reported missing from the vehicle.
06-27-14 15:41 hours – Ptl. c. Schiazza – Theft- $200 & over – bicycles
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – The complainant reports she observed two black males on bikes come down her neighbor’s driveway. She observed one bike to be that of her neighbor. She did recover the neighbor’s bike and returned it to her neighbor.
06-28-14 12:31 hours – Ptl. c. Schiazza – Theft- $200 & over from auto
200 block W. Albemarle Ave. – The victim reports cash and checks missing from her vehicle. She is not sure if she locked the vehicle.
06-28-1420:42 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary-attempt-residence-day
100 block S. Lansdowne Ave. – The reporting party stated that unknot actor(s) attempted to remove the door to the building. She theorized that the purpose was either to enter the building or to recycle the metal of the door.
06-28-1422:50 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Assaults
Unit block Nyack Ave. – The victim, a case worker, was attacked by a patient at the Horizon House. The patient was transported to the crisis center and the victim was taken to the hospital.
06-28-1423:52 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Criminal mischief
Unit block S. Union Ave. – The victim reports that unknown person(s) had thrown a piece of hardened asphalt threw his side living room window.
06-29/14 18:23 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – MV theft-auto-street
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – The reporting party stated a car she had rented from Hertz had been stolen from the street by her home. Unable to place the stolen vehicle in NCIC because Hertz would not prOVide this Officer with the vehicle information needed.
06-29-1420:29 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Theft- $50 to $00 – bicycle
100 block N. Wycombe Ave. – The victim reports his daughter’s bike taken from the side of the house.
