Police activity week of 06-17-13 through 06-23-13

06-17-13 14:38 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft- $50 to $200
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Victim believes he left his Samsung Galaxy 2 cell phone on the seat of his vehicle while parked in the police station parking lot. Door of the vehicle may have been left unlocked. When he exited the building and went back to his vehicle the phone was missing. The victim cannot say for certain that he borough the phone indie and was inclined to believe he left it in the car.

06-18-13 11:20 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Theft – under $50 from auto
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports he parked his vehicle in the Wawa parking lot, when in the store and may have left the vehicle unlocked. On the front seat was a pack of Newport cigarettes, in plain sight, with $20 cash rolled up inside the pack. Upon return to the vehicle the pack of cigarettes was gone. An unknown witness told the victim that a blond haired lady, who was looking for cigarette butts to smoke, entered his vehicle and took the cigarettes. Security tape footage will be obtained from the store.

06-18-13 20:30 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft – under $50 from auto
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – UDPD requested that LPD check a business on the unit block of E. Stratford Ave. in reference to a PA registration. Spoke with the owner of the business who stated that one of his company vans registration plates was discovered missing last month. This was not reported to police. The owner stated he reported it lost or stolen to the PA Department of Motor Vehicles. The registration was recovered by UDPD this date.

06-19-13 21:35 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Narcotics-possession
200 block Windermere Ave. – Dispatched for an intoxicated black male trying to get into the complainants residence. On arrival offender was located, the offender was highly intoxicated. The offender was taken into custody, due to his highly intoxicated condition; he had to be physically supported as he was escorted to the police car for transport. In a search incident to arrest, Sgt. Eidell found in the offenders right front pants pocket a clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance. The substance tested positive for cocaine.

06-20-13 10:30 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle -Theft- $50 to $200
100 block s. Lansdowne Ave. – The real estate agent for the property reported to police that the lock box from the property was missing. The property is up for sale. She will notify the property owner.

06-23-13 03:12 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Public drunkenness
200 block w. Baltimore Ave. – The reporting party was traveling on W. Baltimore when he observed a black male, dressed in all white clothing, lying on the ground at the end of the driveway of a residence. On arrival police and EMS found the offender lying in the driveway very close to the roadway. The offender appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and /or a controlled substance. Due to his level on intoxication, he was transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. The offender will be cited through the mail for public drunkenness.
