Police activity week of 06-13-16 through 06-19-16

06-13-16 16:00 hours- Sgt. J. McCaughan -Theft- $200 & over from auto
Unit block W. Stratford Ave.- The victim reports her vehicle entered overnight. Her computer was taken from the vehicle. The item was recovered.

06-14-16 07:01 hours- Ptl. K. McDermott- M.V. theft
Unit block Mansfield Rd.- The victim’s vehicle was taken sometime overnight. A spare key was left in the glove box. The owners are certain that they locked the car doors. There did not appear to be any broken glass indicating forced entry. The vehicle was recovered later in the day in Philadelphia.

06-14-16 11:15 hours- Ptl. L. Albertoli- Theft- attempt-from auto
Unit block Ardmore Ave.- the victim reports that sometime overnight his car was rifled through. One or more of the car doors may have been left unlocked as there was no forced entry. Nothing appeared to be missing.

06-14-16 17:41 hours- Ptl. L. Albertoli- Theft $50 to $200 from auto
Unit block W. Essex Ave.- The victim reports her car entered overnight. Several items of new clothing were taken. No sign of forced entry into the car.

06-15-16 03:15 hours- Ptl. C. Craig- Theft- under $50 from auto
200 block Windermere Ave.- The offender was observed trying car door handles on the 100 block of W. Plumstead Avenue. Officer observed the offender inside of a blue Kia in from of the residence on Windermere. After a brief foot chase, the offender was taken into custody and charged with theft from MV and related offenses.

06-15-16 04:26 hours- Ptl. C. Craig -loitering/Prowling at night
Drexel & Windermere Aves.- The offender was stopped after being seen acting suspicious in the area of Drexel and Windermere Aves. Upon further investigation the subject was arrested for loitering and prowling at night. A pair of bolt cutters and a snap on magnetic work light were seized.

06-15-16 06:57 hours- Ptl. M. McGinnis- Burglary-attempt-nonresidence-night
100 block W. Plumstead Ave.- The victim reports that her shed door, which was locked with a pad lock, was now open. The hasp has been cut. Nothing was observed missing.

06-15-16 16:00 hours- Sgt. J. McCaughan- Theft- $200 & over
100 block Walsh Rd.- The reporting party called to report his brother is suspected of stealing all of his mother’s jewelry and pawning the jewelry. He states, per his mother, that this has occurred over at least a two year period. The mother does not want to prosecute, but would like to know where the jewelry was pawned.

06-16-16 18:40 hours- Sgt. K. Kienzle- Theft- $50 to $200 retail theft
100 block E. Baltimore Ave.- Suspect did steal two large bottles of detergent and left the store without paying.

06-15-16 22:04 hours- Ptl. M. Ammon- Public drunkenness
Unit block Ardmore Ave.- Located the offender laying unconscious on a side yard. The offender was evaluated by Lansdowne Ambulance and transported to the hospital.

06-16-16 16:12 hours- Ptl. C. Parker- Disorderly conduct
E. Plumstead Ave.- The offender will be cited for disorderly conduct after creating a disturbance on a traffic stop.

06-18-16 22:26 hours- Ptl. J. Downs- DUI
W. Baltimore Ave. & Eldon Rd.- One taken into custody as a result of a traffic accident. The offender will be charged with DUI.
