Police activity week of 06-13-11 through 06-19-11

06-12-11 18:30 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli -Theft- $50 to $200 bicycles
200 block Windermere Ave. – Bike removed from victim’s porch. Bike is a 26″ purple girl’s mountain type. Value of $110.00. At the time of the theft the bike was not locked.


06-13-11 17:40 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary-forced entry-residence-night
Unit block Sayers Ave. – The victim came to headquarters to report a burglary that happened on Friday June 10, 2011. She heard the actor cutting open the screen on her bedroom window at approximately 2am. The actor did not enter the residence. She stated approximately $20 worth of costume jewelry was taken from her window sill. The victim was advised that call 911 while the actor is still in the area is the appropriate action and after three days there is little the police can do except note the theft in a report.


06-14-11 11:03 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Disorderly conduct
Unit block w. Plumstead Ave. – Police received a call for vandalism to a vehicle. On arrival the victim stated her ex-girlfriend came to her home along with three other girls and attempted to strike her with her fist and a stick. The offender threatened to damage the vehicle the victim drives. A citation will be mailed to the offender.


06-16-11 20:10 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Theft- $50 to $200-bicycles
100 block Drexel Ave. – Received a call for a found bike. On arrival the victim stated he found a kid’s bike on his front yard. The victim also stated that his son’s mountain bike was stolen from the rear yard. The victim believes the actor possibly rode the kid’s bike up to the front of the residence and discovered his son’s bike in the rear yard.


06-17-11 19:19 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Narcotics-possession
Unit block Sayers Ave. -The offender was arrested for drug possession and charges related to a domestic violence incident.


06-18-11 05:14 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Burglary-no force-day
Unit block Fairview Ave. – The victim stated that two black males were viewed running from his property after he heard a loud noise coming from his porch area. The front door of the residence had been kicked in, damaging the door frame and deadbolts lock. Checked area for actors with negative results.


06-18-11 15:54 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Burglary-forced entry-residence-unknown time
200 block Drexel Ave. – Landscaper called for property owner to report basement door to the home had been forced open. The door appeared to be pry marked on the door frame. The property owner did arrive on scene and checked building and stated nothing appears missing at this time. The victim notified police later that copper piping and wiring were missing from the basement of the property.


06-19-11 03:18 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct
Unit block Rose Ln. – While on patrol this officer observed a vehicle parked in front of a home on Rose Lane. The interior light of the vehicle was on and a passenger side door open and someone halfway in the vehicle. Approaching the vehicle this officer could detect the strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. After investigation a passenger was cited for disorderly conduct for possessing a small amount of marijuana.


06-19-11 09:45 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle- All other-contempt of court
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – The offender was arrested for PFA violation.


06-19-11 23:15 hours – Sgt. B. Eidell – Assault-firearm
Unit block E. Essex Ave. – the offender was place under arrest after he was involved in a custody dispute involving the mother of his 1 year old son. The offender allegedly had a hand gun in his right hand and his finger on the trigger after being told by a family member to leave the residence. The offender was escorted out of the home and stopped by Officer McGinnis. The offender will be charged appropriately.
