Police activity week of 06-11-12 through 06-17-12

06-13-12 09:20 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Assaults-other
100 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded to a domestic dispute. ON arrival spoke to the victim who stated her husband had physically attack her and her son. The offender was taken into custody and will charged appropriately.

06-13-12 14:51 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Disorderly conduct
Unit block Nyack Ave. – On arrival the victim indicated that her downstairs neighbor had pounded on her door and when she answered the door the offender begin screaming and cursing at her and told her to, “Get your retarded son to sit his ass down” and went on about how much noise he was making. The victim closed her door and the offender began kicking it causing damage. The offender will be cited for disorderly conduct.

06-14-12 14:02 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Criminal mischief to auto
Unit block W. Marshall Rd. – the victim reports she discovered what appeared to be dog excrement smeared on her windshield. The vehicle was parked in front of the victims’ house.

06-14-12 15:04 Sgt. D. Donegan – Robbery-strong arm-bank
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Responded to the bank on report of a robbery that just occurred. While enroute Delcom advised that a white male, approximately 40-50 years of age, wearing a green sweatshirt and red baseball had left the bank and fled on foot westbound on w. Baltimore Ave towards Springfield. Police checked the area with negative results.

06-15-12 21:23 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – All other vandalism
Unit block E. Essex Ave. – Responded to a report of a group of kids that had just kicked in the victims door. All juveniles involved were apprehended and all will be cited for vandalism.

06-17-12 01:50 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Assault-firearm
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded for shots fired on the unit block of S. Lansdowne Ave. On arrival the victim had a gunshot wound to the front abdomen area. The victim stated he was approached by three males outside his apartment; he ran and stated he was shot. The victim was transported to the hospital. Investigation referred to the Detective Division.

06-17-12 02:10 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Narcotics-possession-morphine, heroin, etc.
200 block Windermere Ave. – Dispatched for unconscious subject in vehicle. Located a white male slumped over the steering wheel of a running vehicle. The offender was breathing, sweating profusely and had a fresh needle mark with fresh blood coming from his right arm indicating a recent IV drug use. The offender was taken into custody and will be charged appropriately.

06-17-12 12:55 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary-attempt-residence- day
100 block W. Albemarle Ave. – The victims returned home from shopping to find that an unknown actor/s had cut through a window screen entered their home through the kitchen window. The house was checked and found to be empty. Nothing known missing at this time.

06-17-12 22:26 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Robbery-attempt-firearm-highway
110 block Green Ave. – The victim reported that while walking past Penn Wood High School he was approached by a black male. The male was ordering him to give him his cell phone. The victim ignored the subject until he witnessed the male pull a black handgun from the waist of his pants. The victim began running and believes the black male got into a dark colored sedan and drove away. Police checked the area with negative results.
