Police activity week of 06-09-14 through 06-15-14

06-11-1423:59 hours – Ptl. P. Young – Disorderly conduct
Unit block Owen Ave. – While on patrol, domestic dispute discovered in the street, involving a wrench. One half of the pair was arrested and cited for disorderly conduct, then released.


06-11-14 – 23:58 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Assaults
200 block W. Baltimore Ave. – Dispatched for a report of a domestic, not in progress. The victim reports that her boyfriend came to the house where he verbally confronted her and then assaulted her. The victim was returned to LPD HQ to provide a statement and photos of her injuries. An arrest warrant was requested from the court.


06-12-1408:30 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- under $50 from auto
100 block Marlyn Ave. – The victim reported that his 2004 Ford Escape was entered overnight on Tuesday, June 10th into Wednesday June 11th, as it sat parked, unsecured and unattended on the street. The actor(s) bypassed several items of value and only took a $10 pocket knife. There was nothing else discovered missing and no damage done to the vehicle.


06-12 1409:53 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – MV theft
100 block N. Union Ave. – The reporting party stated she left a black 2014 BMW X5 SUV unattended, unsecured and running with the key in it in the rear driveway of her residence. When she returned approximately 10 minutes later the vehicle was missing. The vehicle is an AVIS rental. This vehicle was recovered and the investigation will continue.


06-12-14 10:16 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – MV theft-attempted
Unit block Windermere Ave. – Responded to location for the attempted MV theft. It appears that unknown person/s attempted to steal the victim’s 2004 Pontiac Grand Am at some point between 6/11/14, 2100 hours and 6/12/14 1000 hours.


06-12-14 12:16 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft- $200 & over
Unit block W. Essex Ave. – The reporting party states that sometime over the last year, copper pipe was taken from the vacant property.


06-12-14 18:30 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- $200 & over
Unit block Eldon Ave. – The victim reported that his Kenmore refrigerator was stolen from his driveway sometime between 1500 -1700 hours today. He placed the refrigerator, described as used or secondhand, in front of his garage yesterday until he could install it this evening.


06-12-1420:41 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Disorderly conduct
100 block Hansell Rd. – Police were dispatched for a domestic. The involved party reported that he and his girlfriend were arguing. The involved party was visibly upset and reported that the girlfriend had intentionally damaged the children’s room and his Xbox. The parties were advised of how to obtain a PFA. Police advised the involved party that if he wished to file a private complaint for the property damage he could do so. On 6/13/14 0625 hours LPD were dispatched for a domestic. Police had already responded to a previous domestic earlier in the shift. On arrival both were shouting and yelling profanities at each other. Both parties were advised to keep their voices down and stop cursing. Both were advised that they would be cited for disorderly conduct.


06-13-14 15:52 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Burglary – attempt – residence -day
Unit block E. LaCrosse Ave. – The victim stated he arrived home at approximately lPM and found the screen cut at the rear of his apartment. The actor’s could not get the window under the screen open. No entry made into the residence.


06-13-14 16:05 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – MV theft
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – The victim came to LPD to report his vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of Fanatic Mechanics.


06-14-1421:39 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Assaults
Unit block Sayers Ave – On June 14th at approximately 22:35 hours police were dispatched for a domestic assault in progress between a male and female. The male was placed into custody.


06-14-1421:35 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Criminal mischief
Unit block Fairview Ave. – The victim states someone one threw something at her door and created a large dent in the bottom of door.
