Police activity week of 06-02-14 through 06-08-14

06-03-14 19:40 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Assault
100 block E. Plumstead Ave. – The victim reports he was assaulted. The victim
was visibly upset and this officer observed a small laceration to his nose that was bleeding. The victim states he got in an argument with a customer after giving him change for his purchase. The customer’s male companion then struck the victim and ran out of the store. Police checked the area with negative results but did obtain store video footage of the incident.

06-03-14 19:40 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Public drunkenness
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Police received a request from the LPD receptionist for a domestic dispute in the lobby of LPD. Upon arrival, a male was located in the lobby along with a visibly upset female. The female stated her boyfriend, threatened to strike her several times this evening and refused to leave the apartment. The male offender was uncooperative with police. The offender was placed under arrest for public drunkenness due to the fact he appeared to be manifestly under the influence of unknown drugs. The offender was placed in a cell and will be issued a citation.

06-03-14 19:35 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Theft- $200 & over
200 block E. Plumstead Ave. – The victim reports the theft of her Macbook Pro laptop from inside her apartment. She stated that one of the rear windows was open but the location of the window is not easy to access to the public or unfamiliar visitors. She suspects an ex-boyfriend.

06-04-14 14:00 hours – Sgt. K. Rutherford – Theft- $200 & over
100 block Green Ave. – PWHS – Stolen Apple I-phone from PWHS on 6-3-14 during the juvenile victim’s 5th period math class.

06-04-1416:05 hours – Ptl. P. Young – Theft- $200 & over
200 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded for a theft report. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim, who reported cash and gold coins missing from his safe.

06-04-1417:54 hours – Ptl. P. Young – Disorderly conduct
100 block S. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded for the report of illegal drug activity on the second floor balcony. Contact was made with the occupants of the apartment, paraphernalia was recovered and two citations were issued to the occupants.

06-04-1422:44 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- $200 & over
200 block Windermere Ave. – Police responded to a theft discovered. On arrival the victim was reporting the theft of a gift card and his wife’s rings.

06-08-1404:32 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Assaults
200 block Glentay Ave. – Dispatched for a report of a domestic. After investigation, the parties were arrested for simple assault on each other.

06-08-1407:26 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Criminal mischief
Unit block E. Stratford Ave. – The victim’s called police to report that their vehicle had just been vandalized in the last fifteen minutes. The actor’s did throw a large rock at the rear windshield of one vehicle and the front windshield of the other vehicle.

06-08-1409:42 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Burglary-forced -residenceunknown

Unit block S. Rigby Ave. – The victim stated that his residence was burglarized at some point between 1830 hours on 6/7/14 and 0930 hours on 6/8/14. Cash was reported missing.
