Police activity week of 05-27-13 through 06-02-13
05-28-13 17:42 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft- $50 to $200 auto parts
Unit block W. Stewart Ave. – The victim reported that this morning, when she was driving to work, her car did not feel right and she thought she might have a flat tire. The victim reported that she brought her vehicle to a service station to look at her vehicle and they noticed that five out of six lug nuts on her right front tire were missing. She also reported that the right front tire struts were damaged as well.
05-30-13 04:07 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct
Unit block Legion Ter. – PEO Haberle observed two offenders on a porch roof in rear of residence. When the offenders saw the PEO vehicle they jumped off the roof onto the rear deck and out of view. Located one offender, the offender stated that he was helping the resident get into his house. The offender stated that his friend, the resident, was intoxicated. Spoke to the mother of the resident who stated her son, the offender was upstairs and intoxicated. Both will be cited for disorderly conduct.
05-30-13 16:17 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Disorderly conduct
W. Baltimore & Windermere Aves. – Police received a report of a fight on a school bus. Upon contact the bus drivers stated that a student took a flip flop from another student, who was sleeping, and threw it out the window of the bus. The juvenile did admit to the offense. The offender will be cited for disorderly conduct. This is not the first contact with this juvenile offender.
05-30-13 23:54 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded the apartment complex for a noise complaint. Upon entering the lobby of the building, Sgt. McCaughan and Officer McGowan immediately detected a strong odor of marijuana. Police located the source of the odor. All in the apartment were cooperative and will be cited for disorderly conduct. The contraband was confiscated, photographed and then destroyed.
06-01-13 20:58 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Robbery – attempt – firearm-highway
E. Plumstead & N. Maple Aves. – Police responded to threats, not in progress. On arrival the complainant stated that earlier this evening his son had been threatened by a juvenile, with a gun.
He stated the incident happened during an attempt to steal his son’s bicycle. The complainant stated that this is part of a pattern of criminal behavior by this juvenile toward his son. The juvenile was taken into custody, processed and transported to juvenile detention. A juvenile petition will be filed against the juvenile offender.
06-02-13 12:56 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Theft- $200 & over
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – On arrival the victim stated his ex-girlfriend stole a safe that contained approximately $2,000.00 from his basement apartment. Did speak with the ex-girlfriend, who denies taking the safe. This investigation will continue.
