Police activity week of 05-16-11 through 05-22-11

05-16-11 14:02 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Worthless checks
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – On arrival employees of the Wells Fargo Bank stated the actor was attempting to cash a fake check. The actor stated he had received the check in the mail. He stated that he had entered his info into a web site to become a “mystery shopper” and was sent a check in the mail.
Investigation to continue.

05-17-11 09:24 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – M.V. theft- autos-driveway
100 block Bryn Mawr Ave. – the victim reports that approximately 0725 hours this morning she discovered her vehicle, 2006 Gray Honda Accord, missing from her driveway. The victim could not remember if she locked the vehicle doors last night. The victim stated that earlier this month her wallet was stolen from work and the wallet might have contained her car & house keys.

05-17-11 12:35 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza -Theft- $200 & over – auto accessories
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. – The complainant reported someone removed the hood along with two front head lamps , turn signals, the left front driver side airbag and 8 music CD’s from a black 2006 Chevy Impala. The complainant was supposed to purchase the vehicle from the owner.

05-17-11 16:34 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft- $50 to $00 – Retail theft
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – Police responded to a retail theft at CVS. The cashier stated a man had left the store with a basket of merchandise without paying. The subject was described as a black male in his mid twenties, 6’2″ tall, wearing a pink collared button down shirt and a jean jacket. Police checked the area with negative results.

05-17-11 21:11 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Theft-$50 to $00 auto parts & accessories
Unit block Martin Dr. – The victim reports that yesterday evening around 1800 hours he parked his two motor vehicles in the driveway and each had a full tank of gas. This morning he found the fuel door open and the cap ajar on the Honda, both vehicles ended up being near empty of gas.

05-18-11 19:30 hours – Sgt. K. Rutherford – Worthless checks
100 block e. Baltimore Ave. – Redceived information from Sgt. Donegan from CVS loss prevention officer at CVS. The LP Officer reported that an actor had passed six bad checks form “Not Sufficient Funds” totaling $1,009.13. Investigation to continue.

05-21-11 00:30 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Curfew law
200 block Berkley Ave. – Two juvenile located walking the streets after curfew. Both juveniles were issued written curfew warnings and released to guardians.

05-21-11 09:24 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Disorderly conduct
100 block N. Union Ave. – Police received a call for a domestic between a father & son. The son stated that they go into a physical tussle after arguing about his father calling him useless. The son stated he would stay with his brother for a few days so both parties could cool off. The son will be cited for disorderly conduct.

05-22-11 16:00 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft-$00 & over from buildings
200 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Victims reports her ATM card was used without her authorization in the amount of $400.00. The victim also discovered a diamond ring valued at $2500.00 missing from her home. The victim suspects a former boyfriend. Investigation to continue

05-22-11 14:51 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Criminal mischief
200 block W. Marshall Rd. – Domestic situation between boyfriend/girlfriend resulted in boyfriend/offender receiving citations for criminal mischief, harassment and disorderly conduct.

05-22-11 21:32 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – burglary-forced entry-residence unknown time
Unit block S. Lansdowne Ave. -The victim & his girlfriend went out between twelve thirty and one pm today and returned home at nine pm. Upon arriving home the victim noticed that a change jar that was full when he left was half empty upon his return. The victim discovered his rent money missing from a drawer. Investigation to continue.
