Police activity week of 05-14-12 through 05-20-12
05-14-12 18:13 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Assault-hands, fists, feet
Police dispatched for a domestic dispute. The victim met police and reported she and her daughter, the offender were involved in a physical altercation. The victim, who is 6-8 weeks pregnant was kick and punched in the stomach at least two times by her daughter. The offender threatened to kill her and her unborn child. The offender was taken into custody processed and housed until transported to the juvenile detention center.
05-16-12 21:02 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Narcotics-possession
100 block E. Baltimore Ave. – Police received a report of threats in progress. On arrival spoke with the offenders, who stated one was there to get money from her sister. The offenders did attempt to enter the apartment by force. All taken into custody. Located on one of the offenders, while in custody at police headquarters, was a clear plastic bag containing a green leafy vegetable matter suspected to be marijuana. All will be charged appropriately.
05-17-12 02:21 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Disorderly conduct
Scottdale Rd-Hoffman Park – Observed a group of black males standing around a tan Mercury Sable parked in Hoffman Park. The park is posted for no trespassing after. Upon interview of the males, one male became verbally abusive and would not listen to the Officer. The offender was taken into custody and will be cited for disorderly conduct. The offender actively resisted arrest by swinging his arms and throwing elbows.
05-17-12 23:10 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Drive under influence
W. Marshall Rd & Windermere Ave. – The offender was stopped at Windermere and W. Albemarle Avenues for a red light violation. Subsequent to the stop, the offender was found to be DUI. The offender was taken into custody, consented to give a chemical test of his blood, was processed and housed until he was sober enough to release.
05-19-12 22:31 hours – Ptl. Zubriski – Driving under the influence
Owen & W. Lacrosse Aves. – Offender was stopped after observed driving erratically. Upon approaching the offender a strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle. The offender admitted to smoking the marijuana. The offender was place into custody and will be charged appropriately.
05-20-12 00:53 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Driving under the influence
100 block E. Marshall Rd. – Police were dispatched to an accident scene. On arrival located the offender who was intoxicated and had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his person. Upon being taken into custody the offender became combative. The offender will be charged appropriately
05-20-12 00:53 hours – Pt. C. Schiazza – Disorderly conduct
100 block E. Marshall Rd. – Offender will be charged with disorderly conduct after a small glass jar of marijuana was located off of a stretcher the offender had been on. The offender had been transported to the hospital after being involved in an accident.
05-20-12 16:52 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Theft $50 to $200- bicycles
Nyack Ave-Hayes Playground – The victim states that while playing in the park a black male walked up and took his bicycle and fled towards Wycombe Avenue. The bike was a Mongoose, silver with black pegs. Police checked area with negative results.
