Police activity week of 05-12-14 through 05-18-14

05-12-14 15:57 hours – Sgt. K. Rutherford – Rape by force
100 block W. Baltimore Ave. – On this date the mother of the victim came to LPD HQ to report a sexual assault involving her juvenile son. The mother reported the assault occurred about three years ago while she lived in Lansdowne and involved her ex-boyfriend.


05-13-1406:10 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
100 block W. Plumstead Ave. – The victim reports his vehicle was broken into sometime from yesterday at noon until today. Taken from the vehicle was one black TomTom XL 335SE and one black LG Track phone charger. There were no signs of forced entry.


05-13-14 13:30 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – All other vandalism
Unit block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded for a report of criminal mischief discovered. On arrival graffiti had been painted on the south side of the building. It is unknown whether this incident was captured on security cameras. Will follow up on this incident.


05-13-14 15:13 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Criminal mischief to auto
200 block Crawford Ave. – The victim reports that someone had thrown a rock through the rear window of her Mercedes-Benz. Estimated cost to repair the vehicle $1,275.00.


05-13-1417:07 hours – Sgt. K. Kienzle – Drug Equipment violations
100 block N. Wycombe Ave. – Police responded to an unconscious subject. On arrival the patient was administered an anti narcotic which revived her within a few minutes. The patient admitted that she had injected herself with a drug. Two syringes were found lying near the patient and she will be charged with possessing drug paraphernalia.


05-13-14 19:39 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Robbery-strong arm
Bartram Ave. – The 12 year old victim reports that while in Interboro Park she was approached by a group of males and females. She reported that one of the females grabbed her and someone took her black leather fanny pack that contained her black Verizon LG phone.


05-14-1417:20 hours – Ptl. P. Young – Disorderly conduct
E. Plumstead & Wayne Aves. – Offender was cited for disorderly conduct at an accident scene. The offender was aggressive and using foul language toward officers, after being advised several times to calm down.


05-14-14 18:32 hours – Ptl. T. Selimis – Theft from Building
200 N. Wycombe Ave. – Police were dispatched for a theft discovered. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who discovered $75.00 missing from her apartment.


05-15-1400:00 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Public drunkenness
Unit block Nyack Ave. – Initally dispatched for a domestic, reported to be physical. The female caller reported that the male half of the dispute was drunk. The reporting party stated her roommate was upset with her because another male brought her home from dinner. There were no visible injuries observed at the scene.


05-15-1408:29 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Narcotics-possession
100 block Green Ave. – PWHS – LPD was called to the PWHS for a report of a student in custody in the Principal’s office for drug possession. On arrival the 17yr old student was arrested for a small amount of marijuana and returned to LPD, where he was processed and released to his guardian. An allegation of delinquency was sent to the District Attorney for approval.


05-15-1409:40 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct
100 block Green Ave. – PWHS – LPD was called to PWHS for a report of two students in custody for fighting. Police returned two students to LPD HQ where they were cited for disorderly conduct and released to their guardians.


05-15-1413:30 hours – Ptl. P. Young – Worthless checks
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Security at the Alliance Bank reports an incident involving the passing of a counterfeit check. Total amount of check $1,795.00. LPD was provided with a copy of the returned counterfeit check, as well as video surveillance footage of the actor.


05-15-1423:31 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Drug equipment violations
Unit block Scottdale Rd. – Ambulance dispatched for a possible heroin overdose. On arrival the reporting party stated she found her son in his bedroom lying face down on the floor. EMS did revive the actor, the actor was transported to the hospital. Located, in plain sight, in the actor’s bedroom was a pipe with partially burned green vegetable matter in the “bowl” of the pipe that is suspected to be marijuana. A criminal complaint will be filed against the actor.


05-16-14 12:39 hours – Ptl. c. Craig – Theft- $200 & over – retail theft
Unit block E. Baltimore Ave. – Responded to the Rite Aid Store for a report of a retail theft. The male actor left the store in a silver Ford Explorer with the stolen items. Off. D. Schiazza conducted a vehicle stop on the Explorer. The driver was taken into custody along with the stolen merchandise.


05-17-14 00:39 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Assaults
Unit block S. Wycombe Ave. – Responded to a report of a domestic involving a male and a female. Contact was made with the offender and the victim. Both reported to the police that they were fighting and the victim had a bleeding cut to her mouth. The offender was placed under arrest for domestic assault.
