Police activity week of 05-09-11 through 05-15-11
05-10-11 13:17 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Disorderly conduct
E. LaCrosse Ave. – Police took into custody a male offender after a brief pursuit. The offender will be charged with disorderly conduct.
05-10-11 15:25 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Disorderly conduct
100 block e. Plumstead Ave. – Police were dispatched to Pantry 1 for report of a shoplifter in custody. The offender was found to have several items in her back pack that she admitted to not paying for. The store owner did not wish to pursue charges, but did not what her returning to the store. The offender was taken into custody and was given a citation for disorderly conduct and released to her mother.
05-11-11 03:45 hours – Sgt. J. Eisenhart – Public drunkenness
N. Union Ave. – while on patrol observed the offender and contact arguing as they were walking north bound on Union Ave from Nyack Ave. The two were stopped and the offender was intoxicated, talking loudly and extremely defensive. Both were sent on their way. Approximately 10 minutes later this officer heard excessive arguing and observed the offender engaged in another loud argument with the other person. The offender was taken into custody for public intoxication. He was returned to headquarters placed in a cell until he sobered up.
05-12-11 01:46 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Robbery-strong arm-highway
100 block s. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports he was forced to the ground by two black males who were in their late teens to earlier twenties. He reported the males were punching him and kicking him and went through his pockets. The offenders took the victim’s backpack containing hi wallet, $85.00 in cash, debit card, septa transpass, pa driver’s license and his social security card. The offenders left the area in a white Chevy Lumina.
05-12-11 08:12 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – All other vandalism
200 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – The victim reports various writings on her sidewalk in chalk. The victim stated neighbors have observed the actor in the street with a folding chair and binoculars looking gin her windows and walking up to family and customers cars. The victim is afraid the damage may escalate.
05-12-11 16:25 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Theft- $50 to $200 from auto
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – the victim reports items stolen from his unlocked vehicle at a job site. Taken from the victim was small plastic bi-fold containing the victim PA unemployment ID card, Union Id card and some receipts, also taken a bottle of prescription pain medication. Investigation to continue.
05-12-11 23:08 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – All other-threats
Unit block N. Rigby Ave. – Police responded for report of a domestic. On arrival located victim and offender. The victim stated the offender was threatening her and attacking her. The offender, who was intoxicated, was taken into custody and placed in cell #2 until his arraignment in the morning.
05-13-11 08:47 hours – Ptl. M. Mugler – Theft- $200 & over-all other
Unit block E. Stewart Ave. – Property owner reports roofing materials left on side of house by contractor had been taken. Materials valued at approximately $470.00.
05-13-11 16:00 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – Burglary-forced entry – residence- unknown time
200 block N. Wycombe Ave. – Property owner reports theft of copper from his property. Investigation to continue.
05-14-11 00:40 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Burglary-forced entry-residence-night
11 block Lansdowne Court – Victims reported burglary in progress. The interior of the residence was checked by police and it was secure. No property loss at this time.
05-15-11 20:41 hours – Ptl. D. Schiazza – Disorderly conduct, public drunkenness
200 block N. Lansdowne Ave. – Police responded to a domestic between mother and son. Son was yelling and threatening his mother. The offender was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
