Police activity week of 05-05-14 through 05-11-14
05-05-140909:15 hours – Ptl. K. McDermott – Criminal mischief
100 block E. Plumstead Ave. The reporting party wanted to report a broken window at a vacant property. Both front and rear doors of the property have been pad locked. This incident will be forwarded to Codes Department.
Unit block Owen Ave. – Police responded for the report of a domestic.
Upon arrival both offenders were visibly intoxicated and refused to stop arguing with one another. Both offenders were placed in custody after they attempted to attack one another. Both offenders returned to 4190 and cited accordingly.
05-06-14 12:15 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Criminal mischief to auto
100 block Windsor Ave. – The victim’s son reports the rear windshield of his mother’s vehicle was shattered.
05-07-14 19:30 hours – Ptl. C. Brown – Theft- $200 & over from buildings
Unit block Stratford Ave. – The victim’s wife reports several items taken from the garage. The garage door was secured by a lock that was damaged by the actor’s.
05-07-14 11:08 hours – Ptl. C. Schiazza – Disorderly conduct
100 block Green Ave. – PWHS – Dispatched to PWHS for a report of an assault.
The offender was taken into custody. After the officer reviews the school security footage it will be determined whether a juvenile allegation for a juvenile petition will be filed or whether a citation will be mailed to the offender.
05-09-14 17:20 hours – Ptl. M. McGinnis – Burglary-forced entry-residence-day
Unit block Willowbrook Ave. – Dispatched for burglary discovered. The victim came home from work to discover her home had been burglarized. Missing were items of jewelry.
05-10-201422:00 hours – Ptl. J. McGowan – Narcotics-possession
Scottdale Rd. – While on patrol this officer observed three males in the gazebo at Hoffman Park after hours. This officer did conduct a pedestrian stop on the males, finding a strong odor of burnt marijuana on their persons. After some discussion, a search was conducted on the subject’s vehicle and marijuana and paraphernalia was discovered in the vehicle. The subjects were placed into custody.
05-11-1402:30 hours – Ptl. L. Albertoli – DUI
E. Plumstead & N. Lansdowne Aves. – While on patrol, writer observed an apparent domestic. As a result of investigation the domestic dispute, the two parties involved in the domestic dispute were arrested for PD and DC. Both were arrested and returned to headquarters. A third party was arrested for DUI.
05-11-14 17:32 hours – Sgt. J. McCaughan – Theft- $200 & over- retail theft
Unit block W. Baltimore Ave. – Police received a report of a theft that had just occurred at the Bottom Dollar Foods. The actor had left the scene with a shopping cart full of groceries. Checked area for actor with negative results. Loss for the store is over $200.00.
